Found October 22, 2013 on The Giant Exiles:
In news which must be frustrating for both the Giants and David Baas, the Giants center will have an MRI for a knee injury he suffered on Monday night. This injury comes off the heels of David missing the four previous games with a neck injury. Baas was injured on the first series of the game. When speaking with reporters, David didn't sound that optimistic, per "We think we have an idea what it is," Baas said. "Hopefully it's not what we think, but we'll see. Obviously it's frustrating, because you feel like you can't catch a break. But it is what it is." There is no indication from the Giants camp of what the injury could be but it seems like David and the team believe it to be serious. David has been battling a ton of injuries over the past two seasons and if this continues that trend, it may be time for Big Blue to assess whether David is worth the rest of his contract. Baas is set to make $16.7 mil...

Giants’ David Baas Placed on Injured Reserve

Win a game, lose your center.  Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk has reported that New York Giants center David Baas was placed on Injured Reserve today, effectively ending his 2013 campaign. Baas has been only average with Big Blue since arriving from San Francisco, but regardless, he was their starter and will need to be replaced. The Giants haven’t made a roster move to address...

New York Giants: Should they trade Hakeem Nicks?

The New York Giants face a dilemma with wide receiver Hakeem Nicks this season, and that is his upcoming free agency. There have been rumors of teams interested in trading for the young wide receiver from North Carolina. Hakeem Nicks is only 25 and he is a number one receiver talent in the NFL. Before Victor Cruz exploded on to the scene, Nicks was the Giants top receiver. He can...

Antrel Rolle remains confident the Giants can make a run

During his weekly interview with 660 WFAN in New York,  Giants safety Antrel Rolle made it clear that he still believes his team can make run at the playoffs even though they’re only 1-6 after Monday night’s win over the Vikings. “Absolutely not,” Rolle said, when asked if all the pressure was off the team now. “I think the pressure is on more now than ever. In my eyes...

Hakeem Nicks underwent X-rays on his finger

According to the New York Daily News,  Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks underwent X-rays on his finger after Monday night’s win over the Vikings. You have to wonder if Nicks reinjured the same finger he dislocated earlier this season.  I’m sure he’ll be able to play through whatever is nagging him. The Giants certainly need Nicks as they get ready to travel to Philly this...

If the Giants lose tonight to the Vikings should they fire Tom Coughlin?

I never like calling for anyone’s job, but let’s be honest the Giants have been horrible this year.  For a team that is loaded with Pro-Bowlers, there is no way you can tell me that this team is playing to it’s potential right now. The Giants have been horrendous this year and if they cannot […]

Giants RB Jacobs inactive; rookie Cox starts

New York Giants rookie Michael Cox is making his first start with halfback Brandon Jacobs inactive for Monday night's game against the Minnesota Vikings. Jacobs tweaked a hamstring in the fourth quarter of the Giants' 27-21 loss to the Bears on Oct. 10, but the injury didn't respond to treatment. Cox has not carried the ball, other than two kickoff returns. Giants...

Rick’s Cabaret Allowing Giants Games Again

The NY Giants will be back on the High-Def TVs and big screens at Rick’s Cabaret New York, the popular gentleman’s club in midtown Manhattan that features over 100 topless exotic dancers performing daily. “It was upsetting to watch the Giants lose every week, and that’s why we stopped showing their games,” explained Rick’s Cabaret Girl Monica. “But now they’ve won...

Fantasy Player Threatens Brandon Jacobs on Twitter, Then Acts Like a Little ***** When He is Called Out

People need to stop being such freaking idiots and leave these players alone when it comes to their fantasy football teams.  NO ONE cares about your stupid, sh*tty fantasy team.  Especially players who’s livelihood and future health depend on it.  Here is one such example of a douche gone wild using his mighty keyboard to threaten not only Jacobs, but his family: Here is what...

Welcome Back, Peyton Hillis!

On Monday night’s football game between the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Giants, the NFL world saw the rebirth of a player who only a few years ago was considered a game-changer. That’s right, I’m talking about Peyton Hillis, former star running back and Madden NFL 2012 cover athlete. In 2010, as a member of the Cleveland Browns, Hillis rushed for 1,177 yards and 11 touchdowns...

Giants RB On The Cover Of Sports Hillis-trated

The narrative of tonight’s game would best be read in a Sam Elliott voice.  No, I’m not talking about those crappy Dodge commercials.  No again, I’m not talking about his turn as the Chupadogra in Marmaduke.  How’d you even know he was that without Wikipedia anyways?  Nah, I’m rocking The Big Lebowski on this one and going with ‘The Stranger’.  Sometimes there’s...

Giants with stout defense notch first win over the Vikings 23-7

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey– The Giants defensive line kept Vikings new quarterback and addition Josh Freeman very uncomfortable all game. Freeman was very inaccurate completing 20 of his 53 passes with an interception on a wild throw to Giants defensive back Antrel Rolle. Eli Manning finally looked like he had his Giants(1-6) offense under control […]
