New York Giants offensive lineman David Diehl has missed a lot of time this season with a knee injury. Now that he’s healthy it doesn’t look like he’ll be back in the starting line up anytime soon.
“Giants OL Dave Diehl doesn’t appear to be joining the starting lineup anytime soon, barring an injury somewhere. The Giants like their starting five, as it has grown together well. Diehl is valuable as a four-position reserve and can be used as a third tackle in heavy formations, which the Giants have employed since his return from injury,” according to PoFootballWeekly.com.
Both Sean Locklear and Will Beatty have been great in Diehl’s absence and it wouldn’t make sense to replace them at this point.
