Found February 25, 2013 on AFC East Daily:
The Buffalo Bills opted to not tender a contact to rehabbing Florida product David Nelson as a restricted free agent Sunday, the second such move this offseason by general manager Buddy Nix and the team.Nelson's departure makes the Bills' next roster move an intriguing one, but where Nelson winds up could be the most intriguing part of all. The Bills not biting at Nelson was a bit of a surprise considering his moderate salary and potentially huge upside this season, just a few reasons why Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston thinks he may not go far.Reiss said Monday he could very easily see the Patriots making a move for Nelson given their need at the position, his value coming off season-ending surgery, his size, and the fact the team took a shot once before in 2010 when Nelson ultimately signed with Buffalo. New England certainly has a knack for taking what others don't want and making it work for them, so a move for Nelson wouldn't be surprising. The news of Tom Brady exte...

Buffalo Bills May Wait on Linebacker in the Draft

If you were to grade the performance of each position group on the Bills in 2012 immediately after the season ended, linebackers might come in last place. It was not expected to be the team’s strongest group heading into the season, yet their performance was poor enough to derail a defense that was otherwise expected to improve. After allowing the second most rush yards in the...

Buffalo Bills 2013 NFL Draft: 4-Round projections

The Buffalo Bills in 2012 left plenty to be desired. Was the Mario Williams signing really worth it when he didn’t do anything to change the team? I think it showed when the Texans were able to replace him with such ease that they knew he wasn’t what he used to be. Yet, the Bills fell for it, they fell for the name and who he used to be and ended up wasting money... Read more

Alex Smith Likely Headed to Kansas City (not Buffalo)

It looks like Alex Smith is headed to Kansas City, so at this point its looking unlikely that well see the quarterback in a Bills uniform. According to Ian Rapparport of the NFLN, a deal is “all but done.” It’s important to remember that reporting has been notoriously bad about these things so we could wake up tomorrow seeing Buddy mugging next to Alex Smith, but it’s unlikely...

Nick Barnett’s truck that he affectionately calls ‘Big Black’

Meet “Big Black”, recently released and former Buffalo Bill/Green Bay Packer linebacker Nick Barnett’s big truck. Barnett showed off his his custom Ford F-650 via instagram, and also felt the need to show us his gas bill of $500. Sounds like much, but remember he just put almost 122 gallons in.

Doug Whaley Signs Extension, Set to be Next GM

The Buffalo Bills have signed assistant GM Doug Whaley to an extension that will likely leave him the man in charge whenever Buddy Nix decides to retire. The extension does nothing but confirm what everyone has suspected for years: that Doug Whaley is the heir apparent to manage the roster. Whaley was thought to be a candidate for various other openings around the league around this...

Fantasy Football Player Profile – Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB

Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB, Buffalo Bills Player Profile Height/Weight: 6-2/225 Birthdate: 11/24/1982 School: Harvard FANTASY FOOTBALL ANALYSIS Normally it is pretty easy to look at someone’s previous season and say something inspirational to at least show some respect or hope, but in the canse of Ryan Fitzpatrick, that is very hard to do. Now before I being, let’s not lose sight...

2013 NFL Combine: Wide Receivers

The wide receivers are always a popular group in the NFL Draft. Numerous receivers showed their speed and talent in day four of the NFL Combine on Sunday. While there are only a few “elite” talents, many other receivers showed off their talent hoping to get noticed. With the Buffalo Bills not tendering a contract to David Nelson or Donald Jones, the team is in desperate need...

Big Wide Receiver On Patriots Radar?

Amongst all the news and rumors floating around, one in particular caught my eye today; an article by Mike Reiss has the Patriots possibly interested in 6 foot 5 wide receiver David Nelson. David Nelson is currently on the Bills roster, but the Bills GM said they “are not planning on tendering him a contract” which will make Nelson a free agent. The Patriots have targeted...

Byrd vs. Levitre: Your ultimate guide to who the Bills will re-sign

Well, this isn't exactly debating Drury or Briere, is it?  It has been a long time since two Bills players will earn somewhere between 6-8 million bucks a year have hit the market at the same time. That's what happens when you suck for so long. You don't have players other teams want. I think you'd have to go back to the 2000 offseason when Eric Moulds and Marcellus...

I'm the Bills GM: The Chopping block and re-signing players

The GM series that Bucky Gleason completely ripped off from me is back. Alright, I actually ripped him off, but whatever. I'm playing the Bills GM once again. I've done this 2 out of the last 3 years and have enjoyed it very much. There's a serenity to it that makes me forget about how awful the Bills have been.  This year, I'm back with a party bus -stripper poles...
