TAMPA, Fla. Dont call Davin Joseph a fan of former Tampa Bay Buccaneers leadership. The veteran guard, selected 23rd overall by the Bucs in the 2006 NFL draft, let his feelings known about the culture under former regimes at One Buc Place. When asked Tuesday about the progress of Tampa Bays patchwork offensive line last year, Joseph praised the development of teammates under coach Greg Schiano.
It's that change we went through going from a country club into a place where we actually conduct football business, Joseph, a two-time Pro Bowl player, told reporters.Schiano replaced former coach Raheem Morris before last season. The Bucs went 7-9 and finished in a three-way tie for second in the NFC South. Tampa Bay last reached the playoffs during the 2007 season under Jon Gruden.
Joseph was placed on injured reserve last August because of a torn patellar tendon in his right knee sustained in a preseason victory over the New England Patriots. Tampa Bay used a variety of combinations to compensate for his absence, as well as the departure of two-time Pro Bowl player Carl Nicks, who was placed on IR last October with a toe injury.
That's the past, though. To Joseph, its a new day. A more serious one too.

Gerald McCoy took to the podium today for the first time this offseason at One Buc Place. He also was not surprised when the first question he faced was about Darrelle Revis. “You would ask me that,” McCoy responded.
