Linebacker Andra Davis has been selected as the Bills' Ed Block Courage Award winner. The award is presented to one member of each NFL team who exemplifies a commitment to the principles of sportsmanship and courage. Davis is in his 10thseason and second with the Bills. Last year, he started four of his first six games before being placed on injured reserve with a left shoulder injury. After eight months of rehabilitation from a labral tear, Davis returned to the Bills and was voted one of the team’s six captains for this season. Off the field, Davis is the team’s spokesman for the Verizon Wireless HopeLine cell phone collection program, which provides wireless phones and funding to domestic violence agencies. He’s also donated 20 season tickets to the Wounded Warrior project, which provides tickets to veterans, in each of the past two seasons.
