During second quarter of Thursday's Colts-Titans game, Indy linebacker Erik Walden ripped off the helmet of Tennessee tight end Delanie Walker and after Walker said something, Walden head-butted him.
That's right: One player head-butted another player who wasn't wearing a helmet.
Miraculously, the officials didn't eject Walden.
After the game, Walker explained why Walden was so fired up.
“I was whupping his butt, that's what happened, and the cat couldn't take it when he was getting whupped,'' Walker told the Tennessean's Jim Wyatt. “He got frustrated, and he should have been ejected for what he did. That's bush league and that's the type of stuff we don't need in this league. ...
“I threw a punch at him; I'm not going to lie about that. It's on film,'' Walker admitted. “But that was just a reaction. You head butt me in the face because I am beating you? C'mon.”
