Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware might be a little delusional. On Tuesday, he made a very bold statement about Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett that many don’t agree with. “I would say he’s the best head coach in the league because he’s my head coach and he’s the Cowboys’ head coach,” Ware said. “The guys feel even more strongly about him now because he’s sticking with us and we’re sticking with him. We’re still motivating each other to get out there and play our hearts out. When coaches still drive players to play hard that’s what you really want.” Ware’s continued use of the word “still” may lead some to believe the Cowboys don’t consider themselves playoff contenders. For a team still in control of its own playoff destiny, that word shouldn’t be used to describe coaches’ or players’ feelings toward their effort. However, Ware’s boast is questionable after the Cowboys blew two fourth quarter leads...

DeMarcus Ware’s Wild Mansion For Sale: $2.2 MM

Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware is a helluva of a football player. He has 15 sacks and two forced fumbles on the season and is far from the reason the Dallas defense is, well… mediocre at best. Be that as it may, he isn’t much of an interior decorator. It looks like a box of pastel crayons vomited all over the place. There’s the room with the pink ceiling...

Where (Ware) are the sacks?

The Cowboys defense has been heavy under the microscope this week after surrendering 400 yards passing, 510 yards in total offense, and 37 points in the home loss to the Giants on the weekend. Rob Ryan's credentials have been examined closer and the defense in general has been targeted for ridicule for their inability to come close to sacking Eli Manning. The best way to stop...

Garrett: Our prayers are with Wade Phillips

Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said Wes Phillips has the coaching staff's full support when it comes to his father's upcoming medical procedure.

Five Reasons Why Jerry Jones will Not Even Consider Firing Jason Garrett

The Dallas Cowboys have lost plenty of games this season that they could, and probably should, have won. Jason Garrett’s play-calling was blamed for the losses to the NY Jets, New England Patriots, and Detroit Lions. His clock management has been condemned as the reason for the losses to the Arizona Cardinals and NY Giants. Rob Ryan and the defense have also taken a lot of...

Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones Says Head Coach Jason Garrett's Job Is Safe

Owner Jerry Jones is obviously disappointed that the Cowboys are in the midst another December tailspin that currently has them out of the playoffs but he said that Jason Garrett's job is safe according to the Fort Worth Star-Telgram. "I would have liked to have closed it out right now," Jones said. "If we won the last to games, that would have happened."...

Are the Cowboys mentally tough enough?

The Dallas Cowboys are a rough, tough, burly bunch. Why, just Wednesday, they practiced outdoors in a light drizzle. OK, it was really more of an intermittent mist. The point is, rather than seek shelter at Cowboys Stadium as they normally do when the weather turns, this time the Cowboys stayed at their Valley Ranch headquarters and practiced in the wet, muddy conditions. "...

Jerry Finds The Idea Of Bringing In An OC "Humorous"

Jerry Jones has gone on the offensive this week, following a second consecutive week where Jason Garrett’s game management, and in turn his job security, have come into question. Jones delivered what, at least at face value seemed a resounding vote of confidence in Garrett on Tuesday in an interview with ESPN’s Hannah Storm. And as for the idea that Garrett might be helped...

Garrett’s thoughts and prayers centered on Phillips

Jason Garrett said he would have no problem with Cowboys assistant coach Wes Phillips leaving the team to be at his father’s side. Texans defensive coordinator and former Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips said Wednesday he will have surgery this week to address a kidney condition. Wade Phillips, 64, declined to specify the condition, but he said it is not life-threatening, not cancer...

Garrett on Wade Phillips: "Our Thoughts and Prayers Are With Him"

It was reported Wednesday that former Cowboys head coach and current Texans’ defensive coordinator Wade Phillips, who has turned the Houston defense into the best in the league this season, will take a 10-day medical leave of absence from the team as he undergoes surgery to resolve a kidney condition. Jason Garrett, the man who served as Phillips’ offensive coordinator...

Cowboys' Ware says defense needs to eliminate big plays

For a coach who has seen his team blow double-digit leads in the fourth quarter of the past two games, Jason Garrett sure is getting a whole lot of love these days.

Fearless, Hopeless Predictions: Cowboys-Bucs Edition

*When the game goes into the fourth quarter on Saturday night, cameras will catch Jason Garrett on the sidelines moaning, “Aw man... This is my least favorite of all the quarters.” *Dan Bailey will miss a field goal attempt of 48 yards in the first quarter of Saturday night’s game, and, despite his not even being in the game on the play, a few fans will blame Tony...
