Free agency is not over just yet. The Green Bay Packers recently released inside linebacker Desmond Bishop, who played a significant role during their Super Bowl season in 2010. And Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported the Chiefs will meet with Bishop this week. He first met with the Packers divisional rival Minnesota Vikings, and Kansas City is next on the list. The Jacksonville Jaguars are also interested in the former Packer. This makes a lot of sense for the Chiefs. There is still plenty of uncertainty at the inside linebacker position where the Chiefs drafted Nico Johnson out of Alabama to fill that void. LB Akeem Jordan was also brought in during free agency to compete for that spot. But if the Chiefs can land a proven veteran, it could be a quick fix and Bishop could be a nice compliment to Derrick Johnson inside the defense.
