Last season, Kris Durham was the Detroit Lions 2nd best pass catcher at the WR position, with just 38 receptions. Joique Bell and Reggie Bush each caught 50 passes out of the backfield. Add Golden Tate to the mix, and now Matthew Stafford can look to both sides of the field. If Stafford can utilize Tate the way he did Nate Burleson back in 2011 (73 rec 757 yds), he could eclipse the 5,000 yard mark in 2014. A large part of that was also due to TE Brandon Pettigrew having the best season of his career with 83 receptions on 126 targets for 777 and 5 touchdowns.  Over the last 2 seasons, Pettigrew has just 100 receptions on 164 targets for 983 yards and 5 touchdowns.  It will be interesting to see how the TE position plays out with rookie Eric Ebron in the mix.#185435022 / gettyimages.comMatthew StaffordNew HC Jim Caldwell and OC Joe Lombardi (ex Saints QB coach) should have a positive influence on Stafford.  He was inconsistent last season and just about killed you in the fantasy football playoffs, if you made it that far with him at QB, but we have seen him do great things and has all the necessary pieces around him to be a stud.  We ranked him 4th in our QB rankings.Reggie BushBush rushed for 1,000 yards for the 2nd time in 3 seasons an even added another 500 yards on 54 receptions but only totaled 7 TDs.  Bell hurts his value but Bush is still worth an RB2 spot on your roster. While he did not take advantage of them, Bush did have more red zone carries than Bell.  We ranked him 13th in our RB rankings.Joique BellBell came out of nowhere last season to rush for 8 touchdowns an catch 53 passes totaling nearly 1200 yards.  He is way more valuable in PPR leagues and scored 3 of his 8 touchdowns in the Lions first 3 games. He will have an impact, but do not overvalue him!  We ranked him 23rd in our RB rankings.Calvin JohnsonMegatron.  We ranked him 1st in our WR rankings.Golden TateLeaving the Seattle Seahawks and joining the Lions should mean an automatic boost in stats for a quality receiver like Tate.  He has increased his receptions in each NFL season, and after catching 65 passes for 898 yards and 5 scores last season, 70 catches for nearly 1000 yards wouldn't surprise me.  He has never played opposite a WR as talented as Calvin, nor in an offense this powerful.  We ranked him 36th in our WR rankings.Brandon PettigrewPettigrew caught 5 passes just twice in 2014, and just one time hit 70 yards gained.  One of his 2 TDs came during the fantasy playoffs, and I can bet that he wasn't on a roster in your league at that time.  We did not rank him in our Top 20 TE rankings.Eric EbronHe is not ready for a 10, 12, or 14 team TE1 spot, but he is a playmaker on with a HC that developed Dennis Pitta and an OC that coached Jimmy Graham.  Huge upside play here and if you have a deep bench, worth a late round draft pick.  We ranked him 15th in our TE rankings.Fantasy Football Outlook table.tableizer-table { border: 1px solid #CCC; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif font-size: 12px; } .tableizer-table td { padding: 4px; margin: 3px; border: 1px solid #ccc; } .tableizer-table th { background-color: #000066; color: #FFF; font-weight: bold; } AFC EastAFC NorthAFC SouthAFC WestNFC EastNFC NorthNFC SouthNFC WestBillsBengalsColtsBroncosCowboysBearsBuccaneers49ersDolphinsBrownsJaguarsChargersEaglesLionsFalconsCardinalsJetsRavensTexansChiefsGiantsPackersPanthersRamsPatriotsSteelersTitansRaidersRedskinsVikingsSaintsSeahawks
