PLAYERS: Kevin Smith
TEAMS: Detroit Lions
Lions running back Kevin Smith is hurt again. Smith left Thursday's game against Green Bay with a leg injury, and his return is questionable. He was carted to the tunnel early in the second quarter after walking gingerly around the sideline, then came jogging back out moments later and looked like he was trying to test the injury. He then appeared to be having his right ankle worked on while sitting on a mat. Smith rushed for 140 yards last weekend against Carolina, giving the Detroit running game a much-needed boost. He struggled the last two seasons because of knee and thumb injuries, and the Lions actually let him go during the offseason before bringing him back earlier this month.
