I know he was a stud, all I can remember is a game where he ran almost 60-70 yards, was caught from behind, and caught by his facemask....his whole body ripped around pivoting off the point where the tackler had him by the face and I thought his whole neck may have been ripped loose....nope, the guy gets up, sits out a couple plays and he's back in...dont get me wrong he's a tough SOB, but he did get caught from behind....I mean if we got the Larry that would shut up, quit crying, stop slapping his hoes, and just play ball, be the diamond cutter, I would love to have him on the squad...Maybe Vermeil was right about him.

I guess we dont have a bunch of options that are comparable to his caliber in free agency, and wont get jack in a trade, but it is something to consider for the future, hopefully he can increase his own value and then we can trade him.

  • yeah i remember that game, against the cardinals i believe..

i just think LJ felt like he wasnt wanted here becuz he was always on the trading blocks.. but Carl Peterson is gone now (thank goodness). i think if we beef our line up, LJ can be set to have a great year. If hes still a chief
  • I'm sure it doesnt help that I prefer a guy who is more like Priest Holmes....
I think the dynamic went 2 ways, he may have been on the trading block, but he was never a team player...he cant have it both ways.
He seems to forget his best 8 games was at the end of the season 2-3 years ago, when he would shut up and play, and all the sprockets can turn together, greased with wins.
If these guys could go remember what made them great in the 1st place, money wouldnt matter.
  • Yea and in those 8 games we had one heck of an offensive line that we have not had since, but the guy just dont run hard, charles runs twice as hard and I would rather see him play than LJ. Johnson was only a running back for his senior year in college he was mainly special teams we just had a great line the year he backed up Priest. we should of traded him after that season. he is a scrubb
