Found October 31, 2012 on NFL Trade Rumors:
ESPN’s Adam Schefter writes that Lions doctors “don’t want to be responsible for” RB Jahvid Best, which is why he has yet to be cleared. Best, 23, has been dealing with post-concussion syndrome for some time now, but the Lions will have to decide whether or not to active him or place him on season-ending injured reserve. Best reportedly “feels great,” but there’s no question that there are concerns about him playing football again. Schefter adds that there are some who wonder if Best has already played his last down in the NFL.

Lions WR Titus Young isn't flying under radar now

The Detroit Lions have found someone to take advantage of all the attention Calvin Johnson gets from opposing defenses. His name is Titus Young. Young has 15 receptions for 181 yards and two touchdowns in the last two games, surpassing his production from the first five games combined. He has been under the radar for much of his short career, but the second-year pro isn't anymore...

Jaguars Receiver Mike Thomas Traded to Lions for Undisclosed Draft Pick

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A year after giving Mike Thomas a new contract, the Jacksonville Jaguars are giving him a new home. The Jaguars traded Thomas to the Detroit Lions on Tuesday for an undisclosed draft pick. The trade makes sense for both sides. The Lions (3-4) lost receiver Nate Burleson for the season last week, so Thomas gives them depth behind Calvin Johnson...

Lions Keeping Trade Options Open

The Detroit Lions have made one trade before today’s NFL trading deadline with the acquisition of WR Mike Thomas – but could be also looking for some help at the safety position.

Houston Keeping Detroit Secondary Intact

Despite an otherwise shaky secondary, Detroit Lions defensive back Chris Houston is quietly turning into one of the league's better cornerbacks.

Lions acquire Mike Thomas

The Detroit Lions made a trade Tuesday to acquire Jacksonville receiverreturn specialist Mike Thomas in an exchange for an undisclosed draft pick. The deal is pending Thomas passing a physical with the Lions. To make room on the roster, the club released cornerback Justin Miller. Thomas, a fourth-round draft pick in 2009, has 13 catches for 80 yards and no touchdowns in seven games...

Depth Chart Digging: Week Nine

The Broyles TreatmentPhoto Credit: Kevind810 It's official. The halfway point of the season has arrived and can we just pull over for a second and take a breather? I mean, Calvin Johnson is miles behind us and is lost in some overrated city named Detroit. Arian Foster keeps churning and has established himself as a reliably legit “fantasy workhorse” that will go down in...

Seattle vs. Detroit Lions: The aftermath, what went wrong?

No Game Balls This Week For the second straight week, I have the depressing task of writing What Went Wrong, instead of dishing out Seahawks Game Balls.  I hate this part!  Can’t we win every week?  Win Forever maybe?  Evidently, not this week.  I digress… This isn’t the Worst Part!!! That’s right, 12′s!  For the first time in a long time, I’m more upset with the...

Report: DeAngelo Williams could be “on the move”

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter via Evan Silva, the Carolina Panthers are still taking calls on possibly trading running back DeAngelo Williams and he could end up being traded. “Could be on the move. Panthers continue to listen to phone calls. There is interest from other teams,” said Schefter. With Williams being 29 years-old, I wouldn’t bother trading for him with all...

NFL players likely staying put with the trade deadline approaching

With tomorrow’s trade deadline almost here we already know that DeAngelo Williams could end up getting traded and Tim Tebow isn’t going anywhere. Right now it doesn’t look like Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe will be leaving Kansas City. “Will not happen … unlikely, at least. No team is gonna pay ($4.5M) for a player on an expiring contract,” per ESPN’s Adam Schefter...
