The Miami Dolphins took to the practice field again this morning, for the 2nd of many training camp practices.  Following a spirited first practice, the Dolphins returned to the practice field to build on what they learned on Day 1.  The Dolphins new players, like Dustin Keller, are still adjusting to the heat and humidity of South Florida.  Keller admitted that yesterday’s practice was a little sloppy, but things were cleaned up a bit today. Photo Courtesy of Dolphins.com If you are interested in seeing some clips of the Dolphins in action, click here, for a video from Dolphins.com.   We’ve learned a few things from the first 2 days of training camp.  Many are not all that surprising, but some of them are: Jared Odrick is a DT Odrick spent most of this offseason working as a defensive tackle.  We thought at the time that this was mostly because Randy Starks was not present, as he was unhappy with being ‘tagged’ by the Dolphins in March.  However, it appears that Odrick has added some weight and will be used in a 3 man rotation with Paul Soliai and Starks this season.  The Dolphins know that both Soliai and Starks are free agents after this season, so grooming Odrick makes sense.  Odrick has not played at defensive end since last season. Olivier Vernon Standing Out The Dolphins drafted Dion Jordan, hoping that he would be the edge rushing compliment to Cameron Wake that the team has been looking for.  However, with Jordan sidelined, the Dolphins rookie from last year has been shining.  Olivier Vernon (or O.V. as he’s referred to around the team), has been flashing this training camp.  Vernon is said to have had a very productive offseason program and his hard work appears to be paying off.  Vernon had 2 would-be sacks yesterday and continued his solid play this morning.  Vernon and Jordan might make for an interesting rotation on the Dolphins defensive line, which will only help take pressure off of Cameron Wake. Tannehill to Wallace needs work I’ve seen a few stories about the lack of ‘long bomb’s from Ryan Tannehill to Mike Wallace.  This is not a concern to me right now because we really don’t know what plays are being called by the offense and exactly what the coaches are working on.  Yes, Tannehill needs to throw a better deep ball than he did last year.  But, after 2 days of training camp, I’m not ready to hit the panic button just yet.  These 2 guys have been throwing all offseason, since Wallace was signed.  I expect, after  7 weeks of preseason, the two will be able to connect.  (continued on page 2, CLICK HERE)

Mike Pouncey still not addressing 'Free Hernandez' hat

Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey is not following in his twin brother's footsteps, at least as of yet, in apologizing for wearing a "Free Hernandez" hat at a nightclub in Miami last week. Brent Grimes Celebrates 30th Birthday With ******** Cake

Nothing takes the edge off getting old quite like getting a cake with dick-sucking frosting. The cake in question was made for Dolphins cornerback Brent Grimes, who turned the big 3-0 on Friday, by his wife and friends. Since he’s the birthday boy, Grimes would have to get the first choice in cut. Would he go for the corner piece with the woman’s ass, or would he want to eat...

Miami Dolphins kick off rookie haircut hazing with horrible dye jobs

The official start of NFL training camp reminds us that football season is just around the corner. It also happens to be one of my favorite times of the year for another reason — rookie haircut hazing. The Miami Dolphins decided to kick off the annual tradition this year with a unique spin. Rather than [...]

Maurkice gave a fake apology, but Mike doesn’t believe there is anything to be sorry for. Mike Pouncey was asked about the hat after the Dolphins’ first practice of training camp on Sunday, but neither apologized nor otherwise talked about the hat. I’m just here to focus on football,” Pouncey said. “It’s training camp right now, so we’re just here to focus on football...
