Ryan Tannehill welcome to the big time. Tannehill directed a 13-play 75-yard game-winning touchdown drive capped by a 1-yard touchdown pass to Dion Sims. The legacy-writing drive took just 4:08 off the clock and finished off a 24-of-35 day throwing for 236 yards two touchdowns and an interception. Jimmy Wilson sealed the game with a late interception off Matt Ryan. The Dolphins improved to 3-0 for the first time since 2002. Yet the game started far differently. Atlanta’s dominance up front began on the game’s opening drive. The Falcons marched 80 yards in 14 plays an impressive drive that took nearly nine minutes off game clock. The Falcons punched it in with a 7-yard shovel pass from Ryan to Jason Snelling giving Atlanta a 7-0 advantage right out of the gate. They stretched the lead to 10 when Matt Bryant pounded through a 52-yard field goal. Then Miami’s offense finally woke up and Lamar Miller sounded the alarm. He raced 49 yards into Falcons territory and then Daniel Tho...

Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill is my MVP after three weeks

A most valuable player is someone that means more to his team, than any other player.  When I look at the NFL after three weeks, I see several players who have been amazing, one being Peyton Manning and LeSean McCoy, but you have to look at who is around them.  Ryan Tannehill of the Dolphins […]

Ryan Tannehill set for big fantasy day against Falcons (and other fringe starters worth a look)

Ryan Tannehill – QB – Miami Dolphins (vs. Atlanta Falcons) I really think this game will be high scoring. I don’t have to tell you to start Matty Ice but Ryan Tannehill should have quite the game himself. The Falcons are banged up on defense as Left End Kroy Biermann tore his Achilles last week, Linebacker Sean Weatherspoon is out and Cornerback Asante Samuel is banged up....

The Miami Dolphins Are Here to Stay

Ryan Tannehill led the Miami Dolphins on a game-winning drive late in the fourth quarter, propelling the Dolphins to 3-0, and showing the rest of the NFL that they are, in fact, a team to be reckoned with. Tannehill comes through in 'non-textbook' win

BY SEAN DONOVANWith his team down a score late in the fourth quarter, Ryan Tannehill had a chance to begin writing his legacy as the starting quarterback of the Miami Dolphins. And, as has sparingly been the case in South Florida in recent years, the quarterback delivered.Tannehill led a 13-play, 75-yard drive that was capped off by a 1-yard touchdown pass to tight end Dion Sims with...

Patriots Have Top 10 Passing Defense, But First Real Test Comes Against Matt Ryan, Falcons

The Patriots have a Top 10 defense. Let’s all just let that sink in for a few seconds. OK. Not only do the Patriots have a Top 10 defense, they have a Top 10 passing defense. They’re allowing just 188.3 yards per game. Opposing offenses have thrown for just two touchdowns (second in the NFL) to four interceptions (seventh). They have allowed a first down percentage of just 27...

Turnovers, wasted chances cost Falcons in Miami

A season that began with a "Super Bowl or Bust" mantra for the Atlanta Falcons is ominously starting to look like the latter. In a game in which they absolutely dominated in the first half, the Falcons turned the ball over twice late and coughed one up, 27-23, on the road at Miami, to fall to 1-2.It doesn't get any easier for banged-up Atlanta, as 3-0 New England visits...

Dolphins' Tannehill upgraded to probable, Wallace questionable

Dolphins defensive tackle Paul Soliai (knee) and cornerback Dimitri Patterson (groin) both key starters are listed as "out" for Sunday's game against Atlanta. That could be a boost for the Falcons who will be without five injured starters when they visit Sun Life Stadium. The good news for Dolphins fans is quarterback Ryan Tannehill (shoulder) was upgraded to probable...

Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland had contract extended

Off The Wire: Week 4

Courtesy of AP Photo/Wilfredo Lee This week’s waiver wire treasures are plentiful.  Injuries and benching’s open up the possibility of acquiring a player that just might be the missing link you need to dominate. I have some considerations for you. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill The sophomore pro is off to a solid start in 2013; if he had a little better blocking he would have even...
