While the kings of the castle, the New England Patriots look as vulnerable as they have in 12 years, the Miami Dolphins feel this could be their year win the division. The Dolphins have expressed all offseason they felt ready to make the next step and going into July before training camp, their feelings haven’t changed. A torrid free agency spending spree that landed the top receiver on the market in Mike Wallace, a talented versatile pass catcher in Brandon Gibson, and a playmaking tight end in Dustin Keller. Those acquisitions led WR Brian Hartline to say, "On paper, we do," Hartline said, via Chris Perkins of the Sun Sentinal. "If not, who's better in the AFC East than us, on paper? I don't think anybody's better than us," referring to the Dolphins receiving corps. "I can't make any predictions because at the end of the day, any given Sunday anything can happen," Hartline said. "But we do have a team that's ready to win football games this year and hopefully make it to the playoffs." Coach Joe Philbin likes what he sees from his second year QB Ryan Tannehill: "He's more in tune with the checks at the line of scrimmage and as a quarterback, you have to be able to adjust, see things from the backfield.” Defensive end Cameron Wake says it’s time to get away from the middle of the pack: "We're trying to get out of that middle-of-the-pack ruts we've been in the past few seasons," Wake said. "We've shown full flashes of greatness, and the way the team is going as far as the new logo, the new facility, the free agent signings, that all shows we're definitely looking forward. And I think this season will be a representation of that. ''
