The 2011 Philadelphia Eagles were so enamored by the high profile acquisitions of that free agency period the deemed themselves ‘The dream team.’ However, the only problem was they never came close to those expectations. Fast forward to 2013 and the Miami Dolphins, who had a very similar free agency run that has South Florida buzzing, but according to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald, the Dolphins might want to pump the brakes some. Brian Hartline proclaimed the Phin’s receiving corps ‘as the best in the AFC East,’ offensive lineman Richie Incognito was quite he opposite of his last name when he proclaimed that the ‘team has no weaknesses.’ If that wasn’t enough, receiver Mike Wallace stated that second year quarterback Ryan Tannehill compares to Ben Roethlisberger, a two time Super Bowl quarterback. It’s understandable that there and should be excitement, but do you think Hartline’s comments aren’t being posted in the New England Patriots locker room, only the best passing offense over the past ten years or so in the division. Salguero writes: ‘They can raise their new championship flag at Sun Life Stadium any time they’re ready. They can join the team that won the 2006 offseason title after the addition of Daunte Culpepper. They can be on par with Jimmy Johnson’s team that had “a chance to be special,” and the final Don Shula team that added 19 former first-round draft picks so they could win it all. Most everything the Dolphins have done this offseason is truly commendable. General manager Jeff Ireland has been more aggressive this offseason than the past two or three combined. A roster riddled with uncertainty when the 2012 season ended has been plugged or upgraded at practically every questionable spot.’
