Tyreek Hill says he wants to ‘retire in Miami’

Tyreek Hill is ready to be a member of the Miami Dolphins for the rest of his career. While appearing on the Around the Bar podcast, the Super Bowl champion wide receiver talked about how he doesn’t want to leave Miami.

“I love Miami. I love every bit of it,” Hill said. “My wife loves it, the kids love it, my mom loves it, and it’s just a beautiful city to live in. There’s so much stuff to do. Obviously, I would like to retire in Miami, but we all know how the NFL is, how jobs go, and people getting promotions over here and we understand that. But Miami is a great city. I love the team I play on, love the guys in the locker room, love the head coach, love the GM. So that means something to me. I love all you guys so much, I want to stay in Miami forever, man. Keep me there.”

Hill is under contract with the Dolphins through the 2026 season. He could get another contract before his current one expires since his base salary in 2026 is $43.9 million with a salary cap number of $56.3 million. Hill has been with the Dolphins for the last two seasons after spending six years with the Kansas City Chiefs. In 2022, the 30-year-old caught 119 passes for 1710 yards and seven touchdowns. Last year, Hill once again caught 119 passes for 1,799 yards and 13 scores.

Tyreek Hill believes he could take down Deion Sanders

There’s no doubt that Hill is one of the top wide receivers in the NFL. But could he take down Deion Sanders if the two were to go head-to-head? Hill talked about that on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast last month and said he would beat Sanders in a one-on-one battle.

“I’m putting 175 on Deion, easy. 175, two touchdowns, Prime Time,” Hill said. Hill then explained why he would have a big advantage over Sanders.

“Prime was a GOAT though, but you gotta understand, they played a lot of man-to-man back in the day,” he said. “I feel like generations have changed, and receivers have changed. We’ve got so much stuff, and our generations so many crazy movements and we know all this crazy stuff.”

Hill has been selected to the Pro Bowl eight times and the All-Pro Team six times. His production during his career has led to him being named to the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team.
