Dominoes fall...when benching becomes commonplace: CB Phillip Buchanon cut

Per PFT: Recently, there were rumors that the Lions might trade for cornerback Antonio Cromartie.They haven't, and they reportedly won't.But they've cut one of their own one-time first-round cornerbacks, parting ways with Philip Buchanon, a league source tells us. There really isn't much to add. Buchanon was a HUGE free agent disappointment, as he was continually benched throughout the 2009 season for the latest waiver wire wonder the Lions picked up off the street. Best of luck to Buchanon in his future endeavors...which most assuredly won't include being an NFL cornerback.
