Uh oh, here we go again. Donovan McNabb was interviewed at minicamp by Paul Domowitch, and this was his response to the question of whether he was happy with the Eagles offeason moves:
"It wasn't to my liking. It's hard to put pressure on these young guys coming in. You wouldn't throw them into the fire like that. I think it's good that we have the (other) guys back healthy and we all can get out there, and those young guys can kind of contribute where they can. But for the veterans, it's an important season for us."
McNabb isn't happy that the Eagles didn't go out and do more to improve on both sides of the ball. Later in the interview, McNabb says that he doesn't necessarily think they need more receivers, but you know that is what he wanted all along when he made a call for more playmakers. This post is CRAP!! Everyone Go watch Donovan's press conferance on the Eagles Website. Stop taking crap out of context and trying to turn it into something negative. Donovan not all upset about the teams moves. He is confident in the team. He flat out said we have enough to win a super bowl this year when he was questioned. He was excited about the good field position that Jackson is likely to get them in the return game. He said he wanted the team to get PLAYMAKERS not WR'S only. Also if you watch all inteviews on the site you will see that the PLAYMAKERS comment originally came from Andy Reid. At the end of the season Andy told the team. I am going to go out and get PLAYMAKERS to help you guys. The comment you quoted above was Donvan making the point that as veterans we need to step it up. We can't hope that the young guys are going to come in and make a huge differance. We need to be the differance"
