Bills cornerback Drayton Florence will miss the team’s preseason opening game this Friday against the Chicago Bears because of a sprained ankle. Florence likely won’t see any action this week and if his ankle improves he could return to the field sometime next week.
Florence was injured during Saturday night’s practice while breaking up a pass play during a red zone drill. He came down awkwardly after the play and missed the rest of the practice session. He missed Sunday’s practice. Bills head coach Chan Gailey projectst that Florence could be out anywhere from four to six days or so.
