In the city where the modern "Dream Team" failed to bring home an NBA championship, the Eagles kept their "Dream Team" season alive Sunday.
Michael Vick returned to the Eagles lineup in Miami as he led the Eagles to 24 first half points as the Birds held on for a 26-10 win over the Dolphins.
Vick looked rusty while completing just 15-of-30 passes for 208 yards, a score and an interception -- good for a 69.9 passer rating.
His favorite targets were TE Brent Celek and WR DeSean Jackson who each had four grabs. DeSean also caught his first TD -- a 34-yard bomb -- since Oct. 9 in Buffalo.
RB LeSean McCoy ran 27 times for 38 yards and two scores to get within one touchdown of Steve Van Buren’s team record (15) for rushing TDs in a season.
But the Eagles beat the Fins because of their defense rather than the offense. They held Miami to just one TD in three trips into the red zone, sacked Miami QBs an incredible season-high nine times, got a safety on a Phillip Hun...
BEST OF MAXIM
Earlier this week, I wrote that Eagles quarterback Michael Vick needed to have a bounce back against the Dolphins. He didn’t have the kind of game I’d hoped for, but he did walk away with the win.
One thing I didn’t take into consideration when talking about Vick having a good game was the play of the offensive line. They’ve really made strides this season, and it’s pretty...
The Philadelphia Eagles forced three turnovers while scoring four times during a nine-minute span in the second quarter, and they totaled nine sacks to beat the Miami Dolphins 26-10 Sunday.
Michael Vick, back after missing three games with broken ribs, threw for 208 yards and a touchdown. LeSean McCoy scored two touchdowns to hike his season total to 17.
The Eagles (5-8) won for...
Michael Vick's return was victorious as the Eagles defeated Miami, 26-10
Vick finished with 208 yards passing and a TD, as well as an interception. He had only 9 yards rushing. LeSean Mcoy wasnt a threat from a yardage standpoint (38 yards rushing -- on 27 attempts -- and 33 yards on 3 catches) but he did have 2 TDs on the ground. DeSean Jackson decided to play...
Early in the game, Michael Vick's helmet went rolling into his end zone, an apt symbol for the direction of the Philadelphia Eagles' season. Time to concede? Not quite. Not against the self-destructive Miami Dolphins. Vick made a triumphant return from an injury by throwing for 208 yards and a touchdown, and the Eagles totaled nine sacks and beat the Miami Dolphins 26-10 Sunday.
Who would have thought an Eagles win would be more frustrating then a loss?
The Eagles team that everyone hoped would show up every week this season came to play in Miami on Sunday as they dominated the Dolphins after a rough start to walk away with a 26-10 win.
The frustrating part? It took 14 weeks for them to show up, and is likely too little too late.
The Eagles won how people...
Donovan McNabb game has fallen so much since he was traded to the Washington Redskins that he’s no longer on an NFL roster. Kevin Kolb who was won two NFC Offensive Player of The Week awards during his seven starts with the Eagles, is struggling in Arizona. A.J. Feeley played his best NFL football during [...]
Although it didn’t look good early, the Eagles were able to travel down to Miami and come back with a 26-10 win.
Early in the first quarter, the Eagles had a punt blocked that the Dolphins were able to immediately turn into a touchdown and take a 7-0 lead. The touchdown came on a reception from Brandon Marshall with Nnamdi Asomugha in coverage. It wasn’t the worst coverage...
In a game that felt like it lasted five hours, the Philadelphia Eagles snapped their two game losing streak in Miami, winning 26-10. The game itself wasn’t pretty, but hey, it’s a win, and I’ll take it.
The offense played well in the second quarter, scoring 24 points, but fizzled in the second half. Michael Vick looked a little rusty, completing 15 passes for 208 yards...
