Peter King of SI.com asked New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees about the player’s attitude towards NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. He certainly didn’t hold back what’s on his heart and mind.
“Nobody trusts him. Nobody trusts him. I’m not talking about a DUI, or using a gun in a strip club, which are pretty clear violations,” Brees told King. ”I think there’re too many times where the league has come to its decision in a case before calling a guy in, and the interview is just a façade. I think now if a guy has to come in to talk to Roger, he’ll be very hesitant because he’ll think the conclusion has already been reached.”
It’s unfortunate that the players don’t trust Goodell, but they did agree to this CBA, which gives him all of the power he has. I know they didn’t have much of a choice, but they could have held out longer and called the owners’ bluff.

Drew Brees offseason contract dispute with the Saints hasn't dampened his desire to be a good teammate, or to take care of his team's fans who have been braving the heat and rain to come out to Saints training camp. On Saturday fans were treated to free Plum Street Snoballs as Brees had arranged for a truck to come to practice. "It was funny because a few days before...
Peter King of SI.com spent an hour or so with Saints quarterback Drew Brees and he made it clear that the players, and the organization, believe strongly that they have been wronged by the NFL in the Saints bounty probe. Paraphrasing Brees, Brees differentiates between the pay-for-performance bonus system, which many teams had in place the last few years, and the bounty system, which...
When Drew Brees speaks, many people listen. And not just in New Orleans. After a training camp practice this past weekend in Metairie, the Saints quarterback fired the latest salvo at NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. "Nobody trusts him. Nobody trusts him," Brees said when asked about players' attitudes toward Goodell. "I'm not talking about a DUI, or using a...
Never afraid to sound off on just about anything, free agent TE Jeremy Shockey took to Twitter to take the NFL commissioner to task on player health concerns.
As the issue of concussions and head injuries in the NFL becomes more prevalent, so too do the discussions about it on Twitter. On Sunday night, Jeremy Shockey decided to get in on the act by preaching about the negative effects playing football has on the health of players.
He is not the first player to do this and won’t be the last, but what was particularly interesting about...

The Saints Cheerleaders went marching in to camp with their Drew Brees jerseys to show their goods. I’m not sure they have anything on the Cowboys’ girls. You decide.

Marques Clark stopped playing organized football when his eligibility with Division II Henderson State ran out in 2006. Drew Brees helped him get his first shot in the NFL this month.
It just so happens that Brees does offseason throwing at a San Diego-area high school where Clark got a job about two years ago as a wide receivers coach. Brees noticed Clark working out there and...
Peter King of SI.com told Rich Eisen of the NFL Network via NFL.com, that San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Randy Moss that there’s no doubt Randy Moss has plenty of talent left.
“When I saw Randy Moss come off the line of scrimmage and fake Perrish Cox so severely that Cox slipped and Randy Moss ran across the middle and caught a beautiful crossing throw,” King...
Today we tackle the New Orleans Saints cheerleaders and superfans. Like most of you, we are itching for football season to start. In the midst of the dog days of summer, many get sick of baseball and start turning their attention to football. Don’t blame you a bit. To help quench your thirst, BC is going on a 32 team, 32 day, 32 gallery tour of NFL cheerleaders & superfans...
Late Sunday night, free agent tight end Jeremy Shockey tweeted a link to LZ Granderson’s moving piece about Junior Seau. Presumably having read the piece, Shockey then proceeded to give his reaction to it.
Shockey starts off his series of tweets by first tweeting, “its sad but the truth!!” Then, he turns his attention to the NFL’s and Roger Goodell’s handling of the concussion...

Lots of worries in fantasy circles about the state of the Saints offense in 2012. Color me not concerned. Pete Carmichael knows whats up with this offense and Drew Brees is a surgeon. Darren Sproles role will not change and he should be in line for plenty of receptions once again.

According to Peter King of SI.com, rookie quarterback Russell Wilson is still in the race to become the Seattle Seahawks starting quarterback this season.
It doesn’t surprise me that Wilson is still in the mix, since both Tarvaris Jackson and Matt Flynn haven’t been very impressive.
The San Diego Chargers have lost their sheen. For the better part of the last decade, the Chargers regularly were considered Super Bowl contenders this time of year, but coming off back-to-back seasons of empty Januarys, Bolts buzz has dissipated considerably. Chargers general manager A.J. Smith isn't known to hold back his opinions, and he offered a frank one on his team in...
