The Southwestern Athletic Conference is set to add Green Bay Packers wide receiver Donald Driver to its Hall of Fame.
The conference announced Tuesday that Driver will be part of its Hall of Fame class of 2012 along with former NFL receiver Harold Carmichael, former ABA forward Willie Norwood, former Grambling athletic trainer Eugene Harvey, basketball player LyVonne LeFlore, track athlete Herman Sanders, coach Hubert Clemmons and administrator Lawrence A. Davis.
"Found out last night that I have been elected to the SWAC Hall of Fame!!! Truly special honor. Thank you!!!!! AlcornState," Driver posted to his Twitter account Tuesday morning.
Driver caught 88 passes for 1,993 yards and 17 touchdowns during his career at Alcorn State University in Mississippi and was a member of the track and field team in addition to playing football.
