Found December 11, 2013 on Kissing Suzy Kolber:
You’d think whoever was the successor to Mark Sanchez at quarterback for the Jets for have a little leeway to suck a bit while the team’s fans recover from the trauma of watching Nacho lead their team. Especially since the Jets are still technically in the playoff hunt. In some cases, that may be true, but not for this drunk, screaming, soiled bro in the Nick Mangold jersey. He hates him some Geno Smith and wants everyone to let everyone know by trying to lead cheers of “A-C-L” of “Blow It, Geno” before asking to be thrown out of the game to spare him further agony. Nope, the worse punishment is to make you stay in your seat with your piss-soaked jeans and watch you lament your life choices.[via]

Geno Smith: Struggles attributable to him playing like some kind of RoboQuarterback

Before putting up a decent performance in the team’s 37-27 win over the Oakland Raiders last Sunday, New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith characterized his play during the team’s three-game losing streak as “pretty much awful.” And the miserable statistics Smith put up in those three games certainly lend to his assessment. Geno Smith Says He’s Been ‘Playing Like a Robot,’ Trying Too Hard During Inconsistent Rookie Season

Geno Smith has not exactly been the godsend the New York Jets were hoping for this season. The second-round pick has struggled since taking over for Mark Sanchez under center, with his stats taking a particularly sharp nosedive in November. Smith snapped out of his slump with a solid showing against Oakland last weekend, though, and he attributed his inconsistency this season to...

New York Jets’ slim playoff hopes live on

For anyone who counts themself among the many, die-hard sports fans of New York-based teams, the past week has consisted of little more than an uncharacteristically familiar sense of loss and ongoing disappointment, stemming from the actions of the franchises you’ve come to love and some of the players you’ve watched for years. But as the Yankees said goodbye to the irreplaceable...

Spirits higher for Jets after ending skid

The New York Jets had a bit of role reversal Sunday, with their offense having one of its best performances in weeks and making up for an uncharacteristically leaky defense. Geno Smith says Monday that spirits are higher in the locker room after the Jets snapped a three-game skid with a 37-27 win over the Oakland Raiders. He had his best game in weeks, throwing for a touchdown and...

A few match-up thoughts on the New York Jets week 15 match-up against the heavily favored Carolina Panthers, which is a do or die game for the team’s small playoff chances. 1. Knocking off a mediocre Oakland Raiders team at home hasn’t changed my opinion about Rex Ryan’s future with this team. A win over a 12 point favorite on the road, that would keep the team’s small...

Bigger shocker in New York, the Giants or the Jets?

The 2 biggest markets in football cities both come from the big city, infamous New York. Where when you’re on top, you are on top of the world, and when you’re down, you are stomped on by every section of the city that is possible to be stomped from.
