It's time for that dreaded first trimester report card on the Flock of Eagles, who are 3-1 including a Bye week and headed out to Oakland this coming Sunday to take on the struggling Raiders.
Personally, I always hated report cards as a kid and I still despise "report-card" articles on NFL teams. The reason I never trusted report cards is they can only give you a distorted vision of what "was", and never tell you what definitively will "become" of a student's or an athlete's ultimate learning or achievement for the year.
For example: in my 9th grade gym class, you needed to hit 6-of-10 free throws to get an "A'' in basketball skills for the trimester. I hit 5-of-10 and got a "B'....but what that didn't tell you or anybody was I was lighting it up from outside in the 5-on-5 scrimmages during class all month long and averaged 12 points and 3 rebounds per class in our 20-minute team drills.
