According to Reuben Frank of CSN Philadelphia, the Eagles have fired defensive coordinator Juan Castillo.
Secondary coach Todd Bowles has been promoted to defensive coordinator for now.
The biggest problem for the Eagles this season has been quarterback Michael Vick’s inability to protect the football. I understand the defense wasn’t playing great, but Vick is a big reason why the Eagles have struggled.

Philadelphia could turn to Nick Foles soon

In an interview yesterday, Andy Reid would not shy away from the question. When asked he said he would not rule out the fact that Foles could replace Vick sometime during the season. After a huge preseason where Foles made all rookie quarterbacks look bad, it could be the boost this Eagles team needs to get back on track. Vick is usually good under adversity but this year he has...

Eagles coach Reid plans to "tear things apart"

Things are getting tense for the Philadelphia Eagles, and coach Andy Reid said on Monday he plans to "tear things apart" during the bye week. The Eagles are just 3-3, and defensive coordinator Juan Castillo has received growing criticism after allowing Seattle to score 20 points in the fourth quarter and overtime in the Seahawks' 26-23 victory on Sunday. Can Andy Reid find right buttons to push to save Eagles season?

If anything can be gained from Andy Reid’s “dismissal” of Juan Castillo, it’s that Reid knows it’s time for change on this Philadelphia Eagles team. Enigmatic Eagles seek answers after blown leads

When Andy Reid uses the word ''pathetic'' to describe the performance of the Philadelphia Eagles, it must've been really bad. The Eagles blew a 10-point lead with 5:18 left and lost 26-23 in overtime to Detroit on Sunday to fall to 3-3 going into their bye week. It was the second straight game they wasted a late lead, a common theme over the past two seasons...

Dream Team of destiny wondering why they play selfishly

The Philadelphia Eagles have an awful lot of talent on their team, and haven’t quite figured out how to put it together, except for a few streaks here and there. The highs are high, and the lows are bottomless pits. You would think a team that boasts names like Mike Vick, DeSean Jackson, LeSean McCoy, [...]

Andy Reid Is Running Scared

Andy Reid has been both wildly successful and highly infuriating since he took over the head coaching duties for the Philadelphia Eagles in 1999.
