The Philadelphia Eagles will do something they haven’t done all season Sunday against the Detroit Lions; the team will have all players healthy and available, according to Geoff Mosher of CSNPhilly.com: “Everybody is healthy and ready to go,” Reid said after practice Friday. “Then, we’ll make some decisions in certain places where we need to. I’m not going to, obviously, go over that right now.” Everyone practiced fully Friday and no one on the injury report is expected to miss tomorrow’s contest against the Lions. Among those listed as probably by Philadelphia are wide receiver Jason Avant (wrist), running back Bryce Brown (shoulder), offensive lineman King Dunlap (hamstring) and linebackers Akeem Jordan (hamstring) and Mychal Kendricks (ankle). A day after declining to speak about his personal life, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick confirmed that he owns a dog.“I understand the strong emotions by some people about our family’s decision to care for a pet,” Vick said in a statement released by his publicist, via the Philly Inquirer. “As a father, it is important to make sure my children develop a healthy...

Eagles set to enter turbulent bye week after loss to Lions

It would not be surprising to come across the news that Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has taken off to an exotic island to clear his head during the team’s bye week. After losing what should have been a runaway game to the Detroit Lions, a large section of the Eagles fanbase have become pretty resolute in the theory that they want to see what backup quarterback Nick Foles can...

Philadelphia Eagles and Andy Reid heading toward ugly divorce

The Philadelphia Eagles have come back down to earth in a hard way. They started off so well at 3-1 looking to be the team with dreams of playoff games and a NFC East Title. Yet after losses to Arizona, Pittsburgh and now the Detroit Lions, they are now 3-3 heading into their bye. It was reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter that if the Eagles do not make the playoffs, it could very...

Why the Philadelphia Eagles Offense is Struggling to Score Points

Eric Hartline-US PRESSWIREMichael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles offense have been struggling to put points on the board through the first 5 weeks of the 2012 season. The question is, why? With the exception of left tackle Jason Peters, center Jason Kelce and a different full back, this is the same offensive unit that averaged almost 400 yards of offense and 24.8 points per game...

Eagles to part ways with Michael Vick unless he leads them to playoffs

This isn’t breaking news. This is common sense news. The day Michael Vick signed his $100 million contract with the Eagles, I said it was a two-year try out. If it didn’t work, he would be gone with far less than $100 million in his pocket. Nothing has changed. Both Andy Reid and Vick will be gone if they don’t make a run to the playoffs. What I find humorous are the Eagles...

Michael Vick May Leave Philly After 2012

The Eagles might not bring back quarterback Michael Vick next season according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.Fantasy Spin:It sounds like Vick won't be back if Philadelphia misses the playoffs. Vick is due to receive an enormous amount of guaranteed money if the Eagles keep him on the roster after this season. If Vick and the Eagles do part ways, the team could either insert Nick...

Could Vick be gone if Eagles miss playoffs?

Michael Vick is the quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles right now. Barring some unforeseen injury Vick should remain that way for the rest of the season. Head coach Andy Reid is feeling the hot seat. Both Vick and Reid need an Eagles appearance in the playoffs. While Reid could simply take Vick out of the lineup he knows that his job is tied to the talented but inconsistent Vick...

Eagles deactivate punt returner Damaris Johnson

Punt returner Damaris Johnson and linebacker Jamar Chaney are among the inactives for the Eagles against the Detroit Lions on Sunday. Johnson will either be replaced by Mardy Gilyard or former Pro Bowl returner DeSean Jackson. Johnson averaged just 6.0 yards on eight returns and had nine fair catches. Chaney had started the last two games for the injured Akeem Jordan, who returned...

AP sources: Vick still Eagles starter

Three people familiar with the decision tell The Associated Press that Michael Vick hasn't been benched by coach Andy Reid. The three people spoke Monday night on condition of anonymity because all announcements about the starting lineup come from Reid. The Eagles' headquarters was closed Monday due to Superstorm Sandy, and there was no media availability. Vick, the four...

Eagles better on defense, but can't sack the QB

Eli Manning didn't get dirty and Ben Roethlisberger never went down against the Eagles the past two weeks. Playing quarterback seems like a safe job for Philadelphia's opponents. Those ferocious pass rushers aren't producing sacks the way they're used to, but the Eagles (3-2) are getting results on the scoreboard anyway. ''The bottom line for our defense...
