The Philadelphia Eagles will once again be without quarterback
Michael Vick and running back LeSean McCoy tonight when they take on the
Cincinnati Bengals as they recover from head injuries, and tight end Brent
Celek will be joining them on the sidelines after sustaining a concussion of
his own last weekend.
Vick and McCoy were cleared to return to practice earlier
this week and participated in a limited capacity on Tuesday and Wednesday.
However, the short week was working against them and neither player will be
available for tonight’s matchup.
Considering the Eagles record and the fact that there are
only three games remaining in the season, it’s easy to see why Philadelphia may
elect to take a conservative approach with both players, especially McCoy.
Beyond Vick, McCoy and Celek, the Eagles will also be
without safety Kurt Coleman (chest) and defensive lineman Mike Patterson
(illness). Running back Chris Polk is questionable due to a toe injury, but
everyone else on Philadelphia’s injury report is probable to play tonight.
