After Sunday’s loss to the Washington Redskins, quarterback Michael Vick was not the only playmaker on the Philadelphia Eagles roster nursing a concussion. Running back LeSean McCoy is questionable for Monday night’s contest against the Carolina Panthers after sustaining a concussion last weekend, while wide receiver Jason Avant continues to be hampered by back and hamstring injuries. McCoy suffered his concussion late in the Eagles’ blowout loss to the Redskins. Many questioned why the running back remained in the game, but regardless of the reasoning he is now recovering from a head injury. Coach Andy Reid said he doesn’t believe McCoy’s concussion is as bad as Vick’s, who seems unlikely to return against the Panthers as he’s still been unable to pass the NFL’s baseline test. If Vick is unable to suit up, the Eagles would once again go with rookie Nick Foles. Likewise, a rookie, running back Bryce Brown, would replace McCoy if he missed Sunday’s matchup with Carolina. Fear and Loathing on the Philadelphia Eagles

At 3-7, the Philadelphia Eagles’ owner Jeffrey Lurie and the Philly fan base are afraid and disgusted with the result of the 2012 season. Afraid because of the constant possibility of making the wrong decision in firing longtime head coach Andy Reid and disgusted with how often Reid has let everyone down season after season. Whenever you make a change at Head Coach, it’s a lot...

Andy Reid: I won't quit on my team

Philadelphia Eagles' coach Andy Reid said Monday that he won't resign because quitting on his team would be a "cop-out." A Philadelphia Eagles Thanksgiving: What We Can Be Thankful For

It’s true that this 2012 Philadelphia Eagles team has played more like the prey, rather than birds of prey, but in the spirit of Thanksgiving I thought it would be better to take a look at the positive side of things. There hasn’t been much to cheer about this season, unfortunately.  And, we’re facing a future with the most uncertainty since after the 1998 season.  However...

Coaching with a concussion Andy Reid risks McCoy

Now sitting at the bottom of the NFC East the end of Andy Reid needs to be now. Clearly the architect of this underperforming and untalented bunch needs to be fired. Forget the first 55 or so minutes of the football game in which you saw the Eagles do their imitation of a midget football team. It was the last minutes running the game out when the under-utilized LeSean McCoy was running...

Eagles Odds and Ends: McCoy, Brown, Foles, MNF

The look into the future will most likely continue this week on MNF as LeSean McCoy is still in stage 1 of his recovery from a concussion. Filling in will be Bryce Brown the rookie who in limited action has shown he is worthy of the start. Brown who has gained over 4 yards a carry should get the majority if not all of McCoy’s workload will get the chance to showcase his talent...

Will the Philadephia Eagles win another game in 2012?

The Eagles were anything but a picture of confidence as they prepared to walk onto FedEx Field on Sunday. Image via the Philadelphia Eagles. The Philadelphia Eagles may not win another game in 2012. It’s not a statement made to be alarmist. It’s one that may well be the reality. I’ll still be watching/suffering through ever single game. But there are no longer any expectations...

Stick a Fork in ‘Em

Eagles at Redskins, Sunday, November 18, 2012 No stud this week, but Cooper did have a few good catches. That was so bad I seriously don’t even know what to write. On the upside, we had a great weekend. Chef Spouse’s best friend Steelers Transplant and his new fiancee were in town, and we went out for a really nice dinner Saturday night and then spent all day Sunday hanging...
