NFL Injury Report:
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick was at risk of
being benched due to poor play entering Sunday’s matchup against the Dallas
Cowboys. The quarterback was ultimately removed from the game not because of
his erratic production but because he sustained yet another concussion, one
that coach Andy Reid termed “pretty significant,” reports Cindy Boren of the
Philadelphia Eagles Coach
Andy Reid said that quarterback Michael Vick suffered a “pretty significant concussion” Sunday and
isn’t likely to be cleared by the time the Eagles resume practicing this week
for their game against the Washington Redskins.
Vick sustained his head injury and exited the game in the
second quarter. He was replaced by rookie Nick Foles, who is in line to start in
place of Vick Sunday against the Washington Redskins.
While Reid said that Vick is his starting quarterback when
healthy, it’s not yet certain how long it will take the dynamic veteran to
regain his health enough that he’s able to suit up for the Eagles. Considering
the “significant” label attached to the concussion, Vick is poised to miss at
least one week of action.

It turns out the belief when McFadden was injured on Nov. 4 was that he'd miss 2-4 weeks, which means he's a huge question mark for Sunday after missing practice to start the week. Expect...
Last week: 18 (-3)
It was a very smart of Andy Reid to “rest” Michael Vick the rest of the way. He’s not making the playoffs, but he can still save his job if Nick Foles goes say 4-3. He can blame their slow start on Vick and his history developing quarterbacks will probably convince management to let Reid stick around and develop the promising young quarterback...
23-year-old Nick Foles now has the opportunity of a lifetime--- a starting QB gig in the NFL. It's an amazing development, considering previous QB#1 Mike Vick had taken a huge beating at the hands of opposing defensive pressures, but was not knocked out on a TKO until Sundays' tough loss against Dallas.
Now at 3-6, what do we have to lose? The Eagles' Brain Trust...
