NFL Injury Report:
The Philadelphia Eagles will be without several players
during tonight’s pivotal matchup against the New Orleans Saints, including
offensive lineman Danny Watkins (ankle) and punt returner Mardy Gilyard
(hamstring), but the team will have defensive lineman Mike Patterson back,
reports Jordan Raanan of NJ.com.
Patterson was activated Saturday and will suit up for the
Eagles for the first time this season. He was sidelined for the first half of
the year after undergoing brain surgery this offseason.
Raanan added that Eagles safety Nate Allen (hamstring) is
listed as questionable and will be a game-time decision tonight. Defensive
lineman Cullen Jenkins (knee) is also questionable, but he’s expected to play
after practicing in full capacity Saturday.
Rookie offensive lineman Dennis Kelly will once again get
the start in place of Watkins, while David Sims will take Allen’s place if he’s
unable to play.

Just how bad are the 2012 Philadelphia Eagles? If not for a key lucky break in each of their three wins, Andy Reid’s team would be 0-8 right now.
Just a mere two weeks ago, I posted an article titled 10 Reasons to Remain Optimistic About the Philadelphia Eagles’ 2012 Season. The Eagles were 3-3 at the time and my thought pattern was that you could see the Eagles’ record...
Marcus Vick went off on the Philadelphia Eagles over Twitter while watching “Monday Night Football,” demanding that the team should trade his brother, Michael.

That tweet was...
Eight games into the season is probably far too early start talking about a replacement head coach for a team that still has their head coach. In most cases it is. In the Eagles case, it is pretty much a forgone conclusion that Andy Reid will get the boot eventually. The team has lost four in a row and is getting worse by the second. Experts around Philly know it’s only a matter...
The Philadelphia Eagles have announced big news today...just might not be what you were looking for. Just one day after the Eagles were defeated on Monday Night Football, the Eagles have announced that they have extended the general manager. GM Howie Roseman has been given a 4 to 5 year contract extension.
Due to the current state of the team, there has been no official comment...
Another blow for an already injury-riddled offensive line.
Todd Herremans was forced to the sidelines late in the first quarter with a right foot/ankle injury. His return is doubtful.
The veteran tackle was pulling on a LeSean McCoy run to the left side, was tripped and landed awkwardly. He was assisted off the field and after a brief inspection on the trainers table, was carted...
The sense of helpless that fell upon fans of the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night was nothing new, and yet the constant suffering is a feeling that new feels quite the same. The post The Philadelphia Eagles And Their Helpless Fans appeared first on The Sports Fan Journal.

There will be no excuses for the Eagles offense this week.
Andy Reid’s offense is ranked 28th in the league, managing just 17.1 points per game. Through the first six games of the year, the offense has looked painfully inefficient and hopeless. Poor playcalling...

The Eagles made it official Saturday afternoon, activating defensive tackle Mike Patterson to the 53-man roster and releasing linebacker Jason Williams.
Patterson had offseason brain surgery and has not played in a game this season. A first-round pick back in 2005, he suffered a seizure during training camp back in 2011 and was diagnosed with arteriovenous malformation, a tangle...

Just work harder. That will do it.
> The pre-game strokefest of how good the Eagles feel this week, and why everything's going to be just fine, and how Eagle Fan is just unfair for not being thrilled with a team that's a below .500 pretender, never gets even the least bit tiresome> Shockingly, the deep ball first play to WR DeSean Jackson didn't catch the Saints...
