Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson finally got his big payday - even if it came one year later. The Eagles signed the Jackson to a five-year, $51 million contract Wednesday in a surprising move after Jackson sulked through much of last season. "We are thrilled to be able to keep one of the NFL's top playmakers in Philadelphia," Andy Reid said in a news release. "DeSean is a game breaker, he has the speed and ability to score from anywhere on the field, and he has proven himself to be a big threat for our offense." The Eagles had placed the franchise tag on Jackson, who finished last season with 58 catches, 961 yards and four touchdowns. He was benched for one game for missing a team meeting and was accused of going through the motions during some games. A two-time Pro Bowl selection, Jackson apologized to his team after the season for letting his contract situation become a distraction.
