Say Goodnight, Philadelphia. Whatever faint playoff hopes they had left were crushed in a 38-20 loss to New England. Fantasy Spin: It didnt mean a lot from a real football standpoint, but Vince Young had an incredible Fantasy day with 400 yards and a TD. LeSean McCoy was held in check, gaining only 31 yards rushing and 30 yards on 4 catches, but he did have a TD. Jason Avant, with converted wide receiver Julian Edelman covering him a good portion of the day, finished with 8 catches for 110 yards and a score. DeSean Jackson had 73 yards, but he also dropped what would have been a 30-yard TD pass.

Vince Young looks on track to start Thursday

The Eagles get a chance to wash off the stink of their blowout loss to the Patriots early this week. The Takeaway: There's Always Next Year

Welcome to The Takeaway, where we take away the three key points from the Eagles' previous game, in this case a 38-20 loss to the Patriots. 1. The Vince Young fantasy was nice while it lasted. Patriots reserve QB Ryan Mallett discusses spending the week as Eagles QB Vince Young

Ryan Mallett is about as hardcore an Arkansas Razorbacks fan as you can imagine. Makes sense, considering he grew up rooting for the Hogs, then starred for them. So, would you believe that he actually rooted for (gasp) Texas at some point as a kid? He did. When former Longhorns star Vince Young was decimating USC in the BCS title game, that is. “Vince is from the same part of the...

Julian Edelman: I wanted to hit Vince Young and do it right

Julian Edelman isn’t just a wide receiver anymore. Edelman, who’s listed at receiver but has been spending time in the Patriots’ secondary this season, has to be considered a real defensive player now that he’s laid his first hard hit on an opposing quarterback. Edelman got a couple of good shots on Eagles quarterback Vince…

Patriots Destroy Eagles 38-20

The Eagles have had their backs against the wall due to a terrible start to the season, and the task did not get any easier with the New Englad Patriots coming into town. Here is how the game unfolded. 1st Quarter: The Eagles jumped out to an early lead in large part because of a 58 yard pass from Vince Young to Riley Cooper. The Eagles put up a quick score after LeSean McCoy took...

Philadelphia Eagles (4-6) vs. New England Patriots (7-3)
