TEAMS: Philadelphia Eagles, Denver Broncos, Atlanta Falcons

Shiiiiiiiiieeeaat….
In light of the recent injuries to Jeremy Maclin, the Eagles announced today that they have signed training camp receiver Mardy Gilyard. To make room for Gilyard, the Eagles have released underwhelming 2nd round draft choice Jaiquawn Jarrett, who at one point was drawing comparisons to Brian Dawkins by you guessed it,…the Eagles front office.
I’m surprised that Jarrett even made the 53 man roster after showing us absolutely nothing in two years of being on the team. He literally didn’t sniff the field his rookie season. This guy just isn’t an NFL player, and I give the Eagles credit for realizing their mistake and moving on.
Besides, who needs depth at safety when you have future Hall of Famers Kurt Coleman and Nate Allen back there.
If I’m Howie Roseman, I’m making a note-to-self–don’t draft anyone, and I mean anyone from Temple. (Sorry Joe and Dan Klecko)
Gilyard who was an absolute beast at the University of Cincinnati will likely see some work with the first team along with Damaris Johnson.
