The Philadelphia Eagles lose yet another home game, this time being embarrassed by the New England Patriots who methodically picked the Eagles apart like the Birds were a high school team. Yet the Patriots team is just a shadow of years past and the Eagles team is a professional football team with preseason aspirations of the Super Bowl. No more, as this loss essentially cements the team as one of the biggest disappointments in franchise history… and that says a lot. After squandering a 10-0 early game lead, the Patriots score three unanswered touchdowns. But the climax of the game occurred in the third quarter when about a quarter of the fans in attendance started chanting “Fire An-dy! Fire An-dy!” Make no mistake about it, it was loud, and it was intentional. It sent a direct message not only to Andy Reid, but to Eagles owner Jeff Lurie. The chant again arose in the fourth quarter as the team continued to implode under Reid’s girth. To underscore the frus...

Keep Andy Reid, Adios Mornhinweg, Hello Castillo?

When it’s all said and officially done for the Philadelphia Eagles 2011 season, and the bellowing smoke thickens from the multitude of questions surrounding this organization that will engulf the City of Brotherly Love, it’s fair to think about how differently this season could have played out if the Birds didn’t beat themselves with penalties, [...]
YOUNG AND RESTLESS

Even 3-year-olds want Andy Reid fired

After Sunday’s embarrassing 38-20 loss to the New England Patriots, it’s safe to say the Philadelphia Eagles have officially hit rock bottom for the 2011 season. At 4-7, most of the blame is being put on head coach Andy Reid and just about every fan in the City of Brotherly Love wants him to be fired by the organization–including this three-year-old...

Eagles Defensive Comedy Is Speeding Up Reid’s Departure

If the Eagles go to Seattle and are beaten by a bad Seahawks team it will increase the chances that Andy Reid will be fired.  The embarrassing loss to the Patriots surely gave Jeffrey Lurie and Joe Banner more reasons to consider firing Reid.  Lurie is from the Boston area.  He considered purchasing the Patriots. Chances [...]

The Eagles should let this adorable child fire Andy Reid

I don't know if the Eagles are going to fire Andy Reid. They've suffered through 5-11 and 6-10 seasons with him before, and he survived those. Someone upstairs really believes in the guy. But if, at the end of the season, they do choose to let him go, they should hire this young fellow as a consultant (like The Bobs in Office Space) to come in and clean house. Even if he...

Andy Reid Claims He Didn’t Hear the ‘Fire Andy’ Chants

Philadelphia Eagles fans have officially run out of patience. They began the year with visions of a Pro Bowl-caliber Michael Vick leading them to the Super Bowl and are going to end it with an 8-8 record if they’re lucky. The 2011 Eagles were labeled the “Dream Team” coming into the season and have since [...]

A Photoshop look at the Philadelphia Eagles’ season to date

After the NFL lockout ended, the Philadelphia Eagles went to town and signed several free agents, which made them the talk of the NFL. Among the signings was coveted cornerback, Nnamdi Asomugha. You see, Eagles owner Jeff Lurie made available some cash for the free agents. But after it was over (or before), the Eagles ran out of money and gave Head coach Andy Reid a sure...

NFL NOTEBOOK: Reid in bull's-eye after Philadelphia failures

"Fire Andy! Fire Andy!" Each demanding chant bellowed by fed-up Eagles fans was the most emphatic sign yet that the faithful have turned for good on coach Andy Reid. Reid, who led Philadelphia to five NFC championship games, has been booed and criticized, with calls to talk radio asking for him to resign or for management to can him. But never had they voiced their displeasure like this.

NFL Preview - Philadelphia (4-7) at Seattle (4-7) (ET)

The Philadelphia Eagles have often performed their best in December under Andy Reid. The expected Super Bowl contenders will be hoping that trend continues, as they enter the month with their playoff hopes hanging by a thread heading into a critical Thursday night tussle with the Seattle Seahawks from CenturyLink Field.

Michael Vick likely out vs. Seattle

Eagles head coach Andy Reid said that the injured QB will not practice Tuesday, making it highly unlikely he will play Thursday night against the Seahawks.

Loss reveals plenty about struggling Eagles

McCoy Needs To Step Up And Play Better For Eagles To Win

In case you have been under a rock, a growing issue in the city has been Andy Reid's play calling, especially when it comes to giving carries to LeSean McCoy. People have called radio stations about it. They have written about it. And yes, they have even made t-shirts about it. While their is no question that McCoy needs to see the ball more, an issue that no one has been talking...

Eagles vs. Seahawks: Something’s Gotta Give

Should anyone try to tell you that this Thursday Night game between Philadelphia and Seattle holds any meaning for anyone not working for NFL Network, it might be difficult to believe them. While the Philadelphia Eagles have often performed their best in December under Andy Reid – this is also a franchise with a 61-51 record under Reid since Super Bowl XXXIX. Philadelphia enters...

Could Jack Del-Rio be a Replacement for Castllo?

On Tuesday, the Jacksonville Jaguars fired longtime coach Jack Del Rio, which really wasn’t a surprise around league circles. It will also not be surprising, when the Eagles (with or without Andy Reid) let go the project that was Juan Castillo as Defensive Coordinator. Castillo just has looked bewildered and confused most of the time, [...]
