EC Quarterfinals Game 1: Bruins v. Sabres

Ladies and Gentlemen: Tonight is the first night of the REST OF YOUR SEASON. Savor it. Feel it. YOU watch each regular season game knowing that there could be a light at the end of the tunnel come early April. You patiently enjoy 5-3 wins over teams like Florida and endure 3-2 losses to teams like the Rangers. You complain about West Coast road trips and about soft goals. You cheer for scrapes, punches and pretty passes. You know it’s for a larger goal. And you hope that YOUR team reaches that goal. But for the last two years, the Sabres have arrived at the end of their journey and seen no light. Only darkness. Today, however, at 7pm…the light is on. They have seen it. Embraced it.
