Ed Reed is coming off PUP. Kubiak said he’ll make a decision about whether Reed will play early next week. #Texans — Tania Ganguli (@taniaganguli) August 30, 2013   Head Coach Gary Kubiak has confirmed that the Houston Texans have activated safety Ed Reed off the PUP list. Reed has been doing his final preparations for the season in Atlanta, Georgia and Vail, Colorado to get as close to ready for week one. Reed will be a welcome to a secondary that needs a ball hawk in the middle of the field, but his availability is still in question heading into next week. Either way it is a good thing for Reed to be activated, because is puts him a step closer to joining the defense on the field.

Texans cheerleaders celebrate end of summer at a pool - with bikinis (Video)

A few weeks back, the Houston Texans cheerleaders were kind enough to give us a follow on Twitter, so we feel it's only fair to return the favor by passing along their latest edition of Freestyle Fridays. HOUSTON (AP) -- Houston coach Gary Kubiak isn't ready to say who will back up quarterback Matt Schaub after T.J. Yates and Case Keenum both performed well this preseason. The Rundown: End of the Preseason

The Houston Texans’ 2013 preseason is finished and they defeated the Dallas Cowboys 24-6. The big stories were the return of DeVier Posey and all of the young players fighting for their NFL futures. 5 things about Texans, Cowboys in preseason

The Houston Texans look set at backup quarterback no matter who they pick, and the Dallas Cowboys have problems with depth on defense. Those were among the conclusions to be drawn from the Texans' 24-6 victory Thursday night in a preseason finale that was missing all but maybe one starter. Houston quarterbacks Case Keenum and T.J. Yates continued their solid preseason play...

NFL 2013 Season Prediction: AFC South

On my last stop in the AFC, I am making my predictions for the AFC South. Two years ago, this was a runaway division for the Houston Texans. Not so much any more. QB Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts brought a resurgent nemesis to the Texans last season. I give the nod to the Texans as having what I consider to be the best defense in the AFC but the offense is in question. RB...
