Nick Eatman of NFL.com, gave his opinion on the recent proposal by the NFL commissioner that we expand the regular season from the current 16 games to 17 or 18 games instead. Here is what Eatman wrote: As a fan, you should also realize that more games for the players, results in more money for the players. More money to the players, should mean higher ticket prices for the fans. So be careful what you wish for. I'm not really sure the two more games are needed, but I see it happening. The teams are not going to simply cut two preseason games and get nothing in return. Plus, by adding two more regular season games, you're completely wiping out a lot of the NFL's history. In a few years, you won't see hardly any records held by players from the 70s or 80s. With 18 games, all of the records will eventually go to this era. So there are a few other things to consider.
