EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ - NOVEMBER 08: Eli Manning #10 of the New York Giants looks to pass against the San Diego Chargers on November 8, 2009 at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. (Photo by Chris McGrath/Getty Images)
Eli Manning admitted that his arm was tired and that he needed to rest his money maker. Before the bye, Manning had been struggling with bad decisions and a dead arm. The leader of the first place 6-4 New York Giants, Manning has had QB ratings of 58.4, 41.1, and 56.0 in his last three games, with 0 touchdowns with 4 interceptions. He knows the ship has to be steered straight, but this is when the Giants traditionally make their move. Known for their late season streaks, rest for Manning became a must, and he admitted that it has done him well. He talked about how his arm is coming along and throwing the ball during his time off. “It was coming out where I wanted it to,” he told Tom Rock of Newsday. “I think it definitely had a little bit more pop to it. That’s something, you take a week off and you definitely get a little bit more fire. It was coming out good.” “I didn’t think there was anything to it,” “In practices I thought I was throwing the ball well. I felt no fatigue. Obviously in the course of a season you may not realize it, but today, arm felt good." var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});
