When Emmitt Smith watches Tony Romo he sees a player who has matured during his seven seasons as the Dallas Cowboys' starting quarterback. And because of that, Smith said Friday night that Romo shouldnt have trouble handling the pressure that comes with signing a six-year, 108 million contract extension. "I'm happy for him," Smith said. You can never knock a man for getting paid. At the end of the day, he understands the responsibility that comes along with it. And I'm glad that the Cowboys have decided to try to upgrade the offensive line to help him out a little bit." The NFL's all-time leading rusher hosted a charity dinner Friday night at the Omni Hotel in downtown Dallas. The "Dancing with the Smiths" dinner was a kickoff to a weekend that includes a celebrity golf tournament on Saturday. Both the dinner and golf event are designed to raise money for Pat & Emmitt Smith Charities. Some of the celebrities at Friday nights dinner included former Cowboys Charles Haley, Daryl Johnston, Jay Novacek, Deion Sanders and Darren Woodson, actors Anthony Anderson and Alfonso Ribeiro, University of Florida football coach Will Muschamp and Cleveland Browns running back Trent Richardson.
