Waiting For Next Year:
Things might get more and more interesting with regard to QBs in Cleveland if Howard Eskin out of Philly is correct. Eskin reports that A.J. Feeley could be a Brown, although it appears to be mostly speculation on his part.
If Feeley finds his way to Cleveland, as a 35-year-old QB he could fill the mentor role for Brandon Weeden the way Jake Delhomme did for Colt McCoy. It has always been hinted that McCoy missed the elder statesman a great deal last season. Feeley has played with Philly for the bulk of his career, mostly as a backup.
And who knows? Maybe Colt McCoy isn’t safe just yet as the backup.

According to several reports, including Patrick McManamon and Tony Grossi, the Browns have cut QB Seneca Wallace.
The move all but assures Colt McCoy of the back-up QB job and that he won’t be traded. Thaddeus Lewis will likely make the 53 man roster as the third string QB.
After the game last night, Wallace hinted that there was a possibility that ‘something would have to happen’...
Cleveland Browns backup quarterback Seneca Wallace continues to promote his Colt McCoy hate campaign publicly. Wallace took to the airways to once again say he won’t be Colt McCoy’s mentor. The Cleveland Fans should be happy about that fact. McCoy at least won some games last season that is more than we can say about Seneca Wallace.
When the Browns picked Weeden in the draft...
The Cleveland Browns should have found a way to keep David Sims on the roster. This guy was a beast at safety and with the Browns secondary always getting beat up having a guy like Sims is like having a great insurance policy on a house in a hurricane zone, you never know when the storm is going to hit and when it does you can move right on without even missing a beat. Sims had a...
Pat Shurmur spoke to the media following practice today-
(Opening Statement)- “It’s the first practice with our guys since we’ve solidified the roster. You’ve been notified of the recent changes with Ishmaa’ily Kitchen and of course Tank Carder, two guys we picked up, so there were two late changes. You can now appreciate those moves as well as the (David) Sims trade, why...
Seneca Wallace threw a touchdown on his last pass in Thursday's exhibition. Turns out, it was his last pass for the Browns.
The veteran quarterback was waived Friday by Cleveland, a move that seems to indicate the team will keep former starter Colt McCoy as a backup to rookie Brandon Weeden. Wallace was released along with tight end Evan Moore, a person familiar with the decisions...
Many NFL fans will probably never remember the ongoing eight year stellar career of St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson, but Rams fans certainly will. Steven Jackson should join an elite list of running backs whose careers were underrated because they played for mediocre teams.
The Cleveland Browns are still in search of players to solidify their defense. Today the Browns claimed LB Tank Carder who was formally with the Buffalo Bills and DT Ishnaa’ily Kitchen from Baltimore, who played his college ball at Kent State University. Kitchen is a big boy, at 6’3″ and 334 lbs he could help the Browns plug a few holes in their defensive line and help Cleveland...
McCoy, who lost his starting job in training camp to rookie Brandon Weeden, is battling Seneca Wallace to be Cleveland's No. 2 QB. McCoy went 2 of 5 for 16 yards and an interception.
Like a surfer on a tasty wave, the St. Louis Rams continued to win at home in the Edward Jones Dome with a convincing victory against the Baltimore Ravens. Like their beat down of the Kansas City Chiefs the last time they played at home, the Offense, defense, and special teams gave the Rams a [...]
ST. LOUIS (AP) -- St. Louis Rams rookie defensive tackle Michael Brockers injured his right ankle near the end of the first quarter of the preseason finale.
Brockers, the team's first-round draft pick, was injured when he got tangled up with the Ravens' Jah Reid with 4 seconds to go in the quarter Thursday night. He was helped off the field by two trainers but was able to...
