Throughout his career, Titans running back Chris Johnson has delivered big time numbers across the board like the announcer of an online bingo game – fast and furious.
But unfortunately for him (and the Titans), his success has led him to hold out this off-season, and the ongoing contract dispute between Johnson and Tennessee has been one of the biggest story lines throughout the off-season, the lockout notwithstanding.
All of that could be coming to an end soon though, and while a deal isn’t imminent as of right now, the possibility exists that things could come together very quickly in next few days, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter is now reporting that talks between the two sides have intensified as of late and are expected to continue on today.
Johnson has been asking to be paid as one of the top players in the league regardless of position, putting him into the same salary echelon as superstar quarterbacks Tom Brady and Peyton Manning.
