First round pick Peria Jerry gone for the year During the 4th quarter of the Falcons' division match-up with the Carolina Panthers, Jerry fell to the ground and had to be helped off the field. Two days ago, the Falcons moved him to the IR, inactivating the season. 7th round pick Vance Walker was hired from the practice squad to take his roster space. It appears that Thomas Johnson will take his starting role, and Trey Lewis will be getting more playing time in the rotation spot formerly held by Johnson. Johnson has taken part in 3 tackles so far this season, and was involved in 7 tackles and a sack in 1 start and 4 total games in the preseason. The good news about the injury, if there is any, is that the injury appears to be bone related, not a ligament tear, so the healing and rehab time will be reasonably short.
