The Atlanta Falcons are still hurting but slowly the team is beginning to get healthier. Things will really turn around if they’re able to string two wins together this Sunday against the Cardinals. They’ll have to do without a key weapon for at least another week.
Wideout Roddy White wasn’t able to practice all week due to his hamstring and ankle and he will now miss the second game of his career, after sitting last week. Harry Douglas came up huge in White’s absence and will be leaned on again this week. Other Falcons to be ruled out are backups LB Stephen Nicholas (thigh) and RB Jason Snelling (ankle).
The good news for Atlanta is running back Steven Jackson practiced this week for the first time since Week 2, stated he plans on playing and got the probable designation on Friday. In a similar fashion, the Falcons have been bringing tight end Chase Coffman back from a knee injury slowly and he’s also considered probable.
