Let's take another look around the web at some of the more interesting links about the Falcons from the past few days. First let's bask in the awesomeness that is Julio Jones, then check out the links.

NFC South Preview from RattleandHumsports.com (I knew there was a reason I hated U2):

I’m not a big fan of what Atlanta has done (or should we say, hasn’t done) this offseason to make things any better. The roster, for the most part, is exactly the same as it was in 2011. Asante Samuel was added, but he’s old and past his prime. The loss of middle linebacker Curtis Lofton, who was the heart and soul of this defense, to the division rival Saints is a big blow, as well.........Prediction: 8-8, 3rd place, NFC South

Mike Nolan sees Sean Weatherspoon's vast potential

Mike Nolan hasn’t called one play yet for the Falcons’ defense but he’s seen enough out of Sean Weatherspoon to know that the linebacker has a bright future.

“He’s a good player now, but he could be a lot better than he is,” Nolan told the Falcons’ official website. “And he will be.”

Could Jake Long Become a Falcon in 2013?

I cannot stop obsessing on the Atlanta Falcons offensive line situation, the Left tackle position in particular. I recently read this article talking about how the Atlanta Falcons could possible snatch up Pro-Bowl left tackle and Miami Dolphin Jake Long in the 2013 free-agency period. I wouldn’t have come up with this idea all on my own, but the writer says a lot of things that make a lot of sense.

Pass Rush May Be Key to Cahmpionship

In four of Nolan’s six defensive coordinator jobs since 1992 before accepting the Atlanta job this offseason, he helped engineer an improvement in sack totals for the team from the previous season. In 1993 he took the Giants from 25 sacks to 41, in 1997 the Redskins from 34 to 36, in 2000 the Jets from 26 to 40 and in 2008 the Broncos from 25 to 39.
