Fox Sports South:
Although safety William Moore did not practice all week making it three weeks since he last practiced or played in a game the Falcons ruled him questionable for Saturdays game at Detroit when the team issued its status report for injured players on Friday.
Moore injured his hamstring in Nov. 29s game against New Orleans and has missed the last two games. He had two interceptions in that Saints game and was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts.
The Falcons also listed five other players as questionable: defensive end Cliff Matthews, who, like Moore, did not practice at this week with a hamstring injury, defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux (ribs), right tackle Tyson Clabo (thigh), cornerback Christopher Owens (hamstring) and wide receiver Roddy White (knee). White played through the same injury last week and has never missed a game in his career and others seems to have a good chances of playing, as well. Wide receiver Harry Douglas (ribs), the only other players...

The Falcons are playing Saturday night and can lock-up home field throughout the playoffs with a win against the Lions.
Now that we're in the last two weeks of the season, the playoff scenarios are starting to come into focus.
Here's a look at the scenarios and my predictions:

HOUSTON TEXANS - Playing Minnesota
Thursday was an ugly, rainy day at Atlanta's practice facility - a perfect setting for the Falcons to be reminded they can make sure they don't play another game outdoors this season.
That's added motivation to avoid a letdown in Saturday night's game at Detroit's Ford Field.
The Falcons can secure home-field advantage through the NFC playoffs by beating the...
Atlanta Falcons safety Chris Hope was fined $30,000 by the league for a helmet-to-helmet hit against New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz, The Newark (N.J.) Star-Ledger reported Friday. Hope was penalized for unnecessary roughness on the play in the third quarter of last Sunday's game. Hope told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution earlier in the week that he thought he...
Tweet The Atlanta Falcons gave up quite a few draft picks in an effort to select Julio Jones and so far he’s proving to be worth it. The second-year wide receiver has improved on his 54 reception, 959 yard, 8 touchdown rookie season with 69 catches, 1,071 yards (6th in NFC), and 9 receiving [...]

Atlanta finally got that one signature win last week, blowing out the Giants, even though the Giants might not even make the playoffs now. You can question their talent all you want and I think they might be the least talented of the top-5 teams, but their home field advantage...
Falcons wideout Julio Jones has learned the value of avoiding the trap game after the Falcons were caught sleeping against the Panthers to register their second loss.
Jones told the league’s website that Atlanta can’t afford to look beyond their upcoming match-up against the Lions.

The Falcons are sitting pretty at 12-2. Tonight, they look at the Lions for a chance to hit 13-2. During the preseason I thought this team was good enough to be a contender this year but I wasn't sure how good our new identities would look on offense and defense. To my surprise, the Falcons look damn good. This week I want to give you my favorite players of the season...
Tonight the Atlanta Falcons travel to Detroit to play a Lions team that is realign as their season gets more and more depressing. On paper, this should be a blowout, but as the Texans found out on Thanksgiving, the Lions are no push over.
For those of you that are fans of NFL betting over the internet, the Falcons aren't a heavily favored team in this game, being given the...
The Atlanta Falcons (12-2) led by Matt Ryan and his bevy of receivers travel north to play the Detroit Lions (4-10) led by Matt Stafford and Calvin Johnson at Ford Field. This will be a matchup of two high-powered passing offenses with little or no running game for support. The Falcons are looking to clinch home-field throughout the playoffs with a victory against the Lions on...
DETROIT (AP) -- Matt Ryan got what he wanted.
Calvin Johnson was forced to settle for what he could get.
Ryan matched a career high with four touchdown passes, two to Roddy White, to help the Atlanta Falcons beat the Detroit Lions 31-18 Saturday night and earn home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs.
"It's great," Ryan said. "Our confidence is high...
Atlanta Falcons (12-2) Detroit Lions (4-10)
Normally I like going against huge line movements because I hate week to week overreactions. This line was Atlanta -1 last week and now it’s at -4.5, skipping over two key numbers of 3 and 4. At first glance, this appears warranted. The Lions got blown out by the crappy Cardinals in Arizona, losing 38-10, while the Falcons got a huge...
Here is the latest injury report for tonight's Week 16 clash between the Atlanta Falcons and the Detroit Lions:
DT Jonathan Babineaux (ribs), T Tyson Clabo (thigh), DE Cliff Matthews (hamstring), S William Moore (hamstring), CB Christopher Owens (hamstring), WR Roddy White (knee)
WR Harry Douglas (ribs)...
The final Monday Night Football game of the season will take place on Saturday when the Falcons head into Detroit with a chance to clinch the top spot in the NFC.
Detroit is reeling after six straight losses, which puts them in a far different situation than last year when they were fighting for a playoff spot.
The Falcons lost only their second game of the season...

It’s time for some Monday Night Football on Saturday night, as the Atlanta Falcons, the top birds in the NFC, cruise into town to take on the Detroit Lions. It’s time to officially put this particular match up in the category of games that looked better when the schedule came out last spring. The 12-2 Falcons have held up their end of...
