The Atlanta Falcons may be looking to go in a different direction with their fledgling running game.Head coach Mike Smith says the team will need to analyze how many touches No. 1 rusher Michael Turner is given next season after the 29-year-old struggled down the stretch.Turner was battling a groin injury, but was still able to put up 301 carries for 1,340 yards and 11 touchdowns. Yet it was a five-week stretch from Nov. 27-Dec. 26 when Turner scuffled mightily, rushing for more than 70 yards just once while scoring only one touchdown.Turner managed just 41 yards on 15 carries in last week's wild-card loss to the New York Giants.Smith said his backfield had to be better next season, which could mean Turner's role may be reduced.
