New York Giants
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
What a game it was for the New York Giants as an entire unit. Everything was working for them, their offense put up 36 points, their defense forced 3 Cam Newton interceptions and even their special teams got into the action with 2 forced fumbles. While the team performed well as a whole, it was 2 players who put in serious work in fantasy this week.
I will start with the player that may have actually found himself in fantasy lineups on Thursday, and that is RB Andre Brown who was dazzling. Brown emerged as the top waiver wire target after Ahmad Bradshaw went down in Week 2 with a neck injury against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Brown stepped up in a big way carrying the ball 13 times for 71 yards a rushing touchdown, and 2 receptions for 19 yards. After the strong performance and with the injury to Bradshaw, Andre Brown went from being owned in just .1% of leagues to 42% in a span of 3 days.Heading into Week 3, Brown had passed David Wilson on the depth chart, and with Bradshaw out...
BEST OF MAXIM
Coaches always tell their backups to be ready. A play or an injury often separates them from being a starter or - at the least - a contributor.
With the New York Giants, that happened to running back Andre Brown, wide receiver Ramses Barden and rookie cornerback Jayron Hosley over the past five days, and boy did they take advantage.
Brown, who has been cut seven times by five different...
Andre Brown is having a nice week or so. On Sunday, Ahmad Bradshaw went down with an injury midgame against the Giants and because Tim Coughlin didn’t trust 1st round rookie David Wilson because of ball security and pass protection issues, he put the more veteran Andre Brown in the game. Brown impressed, rushing for 71 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries and he earned the start...
Giants running back Andre Brown had a career night Thursday against the Panthers, rushing for 113 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries in relief of an injured Ahmad Bradshaw.Fantasy Spin:Meanwhile, David Wilson received one carry. As long as Bradshaw remains out, consider Brown a RB2, even in 10-team leagues. He's looked that good in his last two games, carrying 33 times for...
Like his teammate Andre Brown, Giants receiver Ramses Barden had a career game Thursday against the Panthers. In one game, Barden matched his reception total from all of last season.Fantasy Spin:Barden caught nine balls for 138 yards, clearly benefitting from Carolina's shaded coverage of Victor Cruz and using his 6-foot-6, 224-pound frame to make plays all over the field. It...
On Wednesday, the Giants ruled out receivers Hakeem Nicks and Domenik Hixon for their Thursday night game against Carolina. With two of their three main receivers missing the game, Thursday presented tremendous opportunity for the young Giants backup receivers.
Who would step up? Maybe the most unlikely candidate to some fans, but fourth year wide out Ramses Barden stepped in...
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Eli Manning didn't need a big comeback Thursday night, not with Andre Brown running for a career-high 113 yards and two touchdowns in the New York Giants' 36-7 victory over the Carolina Panthers.
Brown got the start in place of Ahmad Bradshaw, who sat out with a neck injury. Ramses Barden caught nine passes for a career-high 138 yards in his first...
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
Giants 36 @ Panthers 7

Can’t cut THIS!
Andre Brown. Andre Brown has single-handedly killed any hope I had of an Adrian Peterson, rookie year-like win in my decade-old fantasy football league. David Wilson was my supposed to be my trump card. Ahmad Bradshaw was going to get hurt (check) and...
Eli Manning didn't need a scintillating fourth quarter comeback Thursday night.
The two-time Super Bowl champion quarterback, running back Andre Brown and the rest of the New York Giants were too good for the first three quarters to need one.
Brown ran for a career-high 113 yards and two touchdowns in his first NFL start and the routed the Carolina Panthers 36-7.
