FF Locker Room:
Fantasy Football News - Mark Long of the Associated Press reported earlier today that Cecil Shorts has been cleared by doctors to resume practice and is symptom free from the concussion he sustained a couple of weeks ago.
FFLockerRoom Take - This is great news for owners that had been riding the coat tails of Shorts into the playoffs. Unfortunately, you will not know what to expect from him returning from injury. Most likely though, you will probably not have a better option. He had been so good prior to his injury that sitting him is almost out of the question. Make sure to check out our wide receiver rankings to see where our expert Brandon Berg has him listed. I’m sure he will climb up quickly leading into the week 15 game against Miami. The Dolphins are ranked 25th with 250 yards given up to quarterbacks per game this season.
The fantasy option that Cecil throws a wrench into, is playing the Miami Dolphins defense. Many have the Miami D in their top 5 going up against Jacksonvil...

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Cecil Shorts III is back at practice and symptom-free following his first concussion.
Shorts, who has 43 receptions for 824 yards and seven touchdowns this season, missed last week's game against the New York Jets because of lingering symptoms. Shorts says he was "out for about 5 seconds" after getting hit at...

Limiting him in practice is likely a precautionary move.
Now that the 2012 NFL season is over the season turns to what-if's. The biggest what –if to me, was Maurice Jones-Drew’s holdout. What if he had been around for training camp? What if the team gave in and had given him the money he wanted? What if he had stayed healthy? All valid questions about the team’s most well-known and star player.Around the time of mini-camps and...
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- The Jacksonville Jaguars have placed starting guard Mike Brewster on injured reserve and signed running back Keith Toston.
Brewster broke a bone in his left hand against Buffalo on Dec. 2.
Toston spent the preseason with the Jaguars before being waived in final cuts. He re-signed with the team in October and played against Green Bay in Week 8, returning...
DAVIE, Fla. -- Chad Henne understands what it means to be the Miami Dolphins quarterback of the future.
Unfair comparisons to former Dolphins great and NFL Hall of Famer Dan Marino.
Lack of patience by fans.
Positioned front and center under the media microscope.
Henne knows the South Florida deal because he played the role right before Miami's current quarterback, rookie...

After losing at home to the Jets, the Jaguars look poised to lose out. Their only remaining home game is against the Patriots and getting another win would mean winning in Tennessee or Miami. They are in are in the driver’s seat for the #1 pick right now.
BY SEAN DONOVANThis week will mark just the second time in the Jacksonville Jaguars' 18-year history that the team has played a regular-season game in Miami. But one Jaguar, starting quarterback Chad Henne, is no stranger to South Florida. Late in November in an apparent cost cutting move the Philadelphia Eagles cut Jason Babin. At the time, while many people that I spoke to called it a blatant cash motivated move by a cheap owner I found plenty of reasons from a football sense to justify it. The recent decision to reduce Mike Patterson's salary after placing him on the non-football illness list is much more difficult...
The numbers are staggering, as if there must be a typo.
But there is none.
In 27 years as the head football coach at Mount Union, Larry Kehres' Purple Raiders have played 358 games and won 331. They've lost 24, and tied three. His winning percentage of .929 is easily the best in college football history, and five of his losses have come in the NCAA's Division III national...
