TEAMS: San Francisco 49ers, Miami Dolphins
Fantasy Football News - 49ers wide receiver, Mario Manningham, is doubtful for Sunday’s matchup versus the Miami Dolphins dealing with a shoulder injury. Randy Moss will likely take over as the #2.
FFLockerRoom Take - Mario is the second leading receiver behind Michael Crabtree with 41 receptions on the year. The 49ers and Colin Kaepernick have relied on Michael Crabtree recently and that looks to continue in week 14. I would expect that Randy Moss starts opposite Crabtree and will see a few more targets. I would also expect Vernon Davis to have some more looks and should possibly move up the TE rankings based on this news. Also getting more playing time as a receiver could be Ted Ginn.
For those that are looking for a deep flyer or possible dynasty pickup, 49ers first round draft pick, AJ Jenkins, is probably going to see the field for the first time in his career. He’s been slow to develop in year one, but if he and Kaepernick developed any kind of rapport while taking second team...

Brandon Jacobs is an angry man, but doesn't understand why people are angry at him
San Francisco 49ers running back Brandon Jacobs is mad. He's not getting enough playing time with the team and he's sick of all the criticism he gets for voicing his opinion.
“I don’t understand why people are angry at me because I wanna do what I am paid to do," Jacobs wrote on Twitter. "I am a competitive person, I think people should be mad if I didn...

Brandon Jacobs lashes out at fans on Twitter
San Francisco 49ers running back Brandon Jacobs didn’t imagine that he’d be riding the bench this season when he signed on with the 49ers as a free agent this past offseason, after a successful career with the Giants.

49ers Assistant Greg Roman, QB Alex Smith Might Be Package Deal This Offseason?
Even though 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman caught a fair amount of flak for QB Colin Kaepernicks ill-fated option pitch to Ted Ginn that was recovered for a TD by the Rams in St. Louis overtime victory in Week 13, we keep hearing Roman's name mentioned as a possible head-coaching candidate. Some close observers have been wondering out loud whether there might be a...
49ers move to 9-3-1 with win over Dolphins
The 49ers improved to 9-3-1 and still keep distance ahead of Seattle and the No.2 seed. However if the offense doesn’t get together and be more consistent, it will be hard to keep that No.2 spot, let alone win the West.
Colin Kaepernick finished the day 18 of 23 for 183 and no touchdowns or interceptions. It was very Alexesque, that is until he scored a touchdown on a 50 yard run...
Gore, Brown set to play Sunday for 49ers
Running back Frank Gore and cornerback Tarell Brown took a little time off to heal nagging injuries this week, but both are expected to play when the San Francisco 49ers host the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
Gore is nursing a wrist problem, while Brown's hamstring has been problematic.
Both players said they will be ready to go and 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh confirmed that he expects...
49ers RB Brandon Jacobs Rips Team , Fans On Twitter
Over the past several days, 49ers running back Jacobs has posted pictures of himself while with the Giants -- much to the objection of some 49ers fans who follow him on Instagram. Jacobs, an eighth-year pro, played on two Super Bowl-winning teams with the Giants, Matt Maiocco of CSN Bayarea reports.
Jacobs originally said he had not posted any photos while with the 49ers simply...
Dolpins held in check against 49ers
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Frank Gore, Colin Kaepernick and Michael Crabtree pulled off the kind of grind-it-out win Jim Harbaugh wants to see during the December stretch run.
Gore ran for a 1-yard touchdown and reached 1,000 yards rushing for the sixth time in his career, and the San Francisco 49ers beat the Miami Dolphins 27-13 on Sunday.
Gore finished with 63 yards, Anthony Dixon...
49ers RB Frank Gore Ties Team Record For Career Rushing TD's
49ers running back Frank Gore rushed for a key third quarter touchdown, giving the 49ers a 13-3 lead. The touchdown is an even bigger deal because of the historical significant. This run marked his 50th career rushing touchdown, which evened him up with Joe Perry and Roger Craig for the most rushing touchdowns in 49ers history. The one yard plunge also moved him to 999 rushing yards...
49ers LB Aldon Smith Sets Team's Single-Season Sack Record
Aldon Smith's sack of Ryan Tannehill at the beginning of the second quarter gave him 18 ½ overall and put him in first place on the 49ers' single-season sack list. Smith had been in a tie with Hall-of-Fame defensive end Fred Dean, who had 17 ½ sacks in 1983.
Smith now is four and a half sacks from overtaking ex-New York Giant defensive end Michael Strahan for the NFL...
Miami Dolphins at San Francisco 49ers: Week 14 NFL Pick
Miami Dolphins (5-7) at San Francisco 49ers (8-3)
The 49ers lost to the Rams last week in St. Louis, which has gotten a lot of Alex Smith supporters saying “I told you so,” questioning Jim Harbaugh’s decision to bench Alex Smith for Colin Kaepernick. These people seem to be forgetting that Smith was losing to those same Rams at home when he got hurt and that he also lost to...
Kaepernick's TD run keys 49ers' victory
SAN FRANCISCO -- The San Francisco 49ers were clinging to a 20-13 lead late in the fourth quarter Sunday against Miami when they called a read-option run, a play quarterback Colin Kaepernick could run in his sleep. Kaepernick, who rushed for 4,112 yards and 59 touchdowns in college for Nevada, faked a handoff on third-and-five to running back Frank Gore, pulled the ball back and...
Miami Dolphins at San Francisco 49ers: Three Bold Predictions
Sunday afternoon in San Francisco the 8-3-1 San Francisco 49ers will be taking on the 5-7 Miami Dolphins.Though the records do not reflect it, this is really a pretty even match-up.Both of these teams boast stout rush defenses with the Niners ranking 3rd allowing 90.6 YPG, and the Dolphins ranking a respectable 8th allowing 97.7 YPG. This should make it hard for both teams to...
